Xenomorphs motion sensors are definitely outdated

Springtrap is finally in DbD and with him a power, that is very similar to Xenomorphs ability to traverse the map. Both Killers have pre set "Portals" they can use to move around the map very quickly. However one of these abilities is way stronger than the other.

While Survivors have no clue which doors Springtrap is gonna use, very often resulting in free hits, he gets undetectable for a considerable amount of time after using his security room as well. He has a way better antiloop then Xeno imo as well as many other little tricks that make him way better, like the axe grap, which can prevent flashlight or pallet saves. All of this combined makes him a quite strong killer.

Now let's look at Xenos power. When they come out of a control station, they don't gain the undetectable status effect. The opposite is the case. Survivors have flame turrets, which serve as motion sensors, detecting the killer in a giant radius of 40m, making any stealth gameplay completely obsolete. On top of that, the flameturrets can get rid of his chase power completely. Why?

Before Springtraps release I was willing to accept this questionable design choice, however now, there is literally no reason at all to keep these motion sensor that big. Xenomorph right now is the least stealthy killer in the game, only because flame turrets exist while Springtraps teleport is literally just a better version of Xenos tunnels without any downsides whatsoever.

That's why I think it's time to either get rid of the motion sensors completely or drastically reduce the radius to like 10 meters or less. They still have a worse antiloop, the flameturrets can still burn them, it's still completely fair for survivors as well.

So please BHVR, please pleaseeee consider changing this, Xeno would be so much more fun and immmersive that way, being the perfect organism they were always meant to be

100% agree. ST is literally just Xeno, but better in every way.

Agreed, Springtrap has just power crept Xeno and Demo.

It's definitely the power creep / lack of new ideas showing through again. I think Vecna was the last truly unique killer we got - everything else has been mashups of other killer powers, for better or for worse. Dracula is just Spirit, Demo, and Nemesis rolled into one. Houndmaster is a budget Twins. Updated Freddy is Clown + Onryo. Kaneki is Blight + Legion. Springtrap is Huntress + Xeno.

I'm hoping that part of Springtrap's stealth issues will be solved when they actually fix the bug of him not being visible coming out of doors. There definitely should be an animation there, and that extra second of reaction times makes a HUGE difference.

Bruh this what I was trying to say, springtrap is a better xeno, the motion trackers needs to go, they ruin the stealth & ambush style that the xeno is known for in alien, that & his acid blood is too short & doesn't down anyone which sucks as well and I think they should buff the tail attack range to 6.8 meters as well, 4 meters doesn't seem that good at all

I would like to point out that before his release to live servers, Sprintraps add-on Foxy's Hook was literally half of Clowns power. It was 10% haste to both killer and survivor for a ridiculous amount of time until it was nerfed. A lot of killers abilities are becoming obsolete and need updates to stay relevant. Why play X killer when another does what they do but way better?

Exactly why I say sadako, demo & xeno needs a partial rework to make them better but also more different from eachother to make them a fun & more of a viable choice to use than a "this guy is me but does everything I can but better" sort of theme that's been going around recently

Tbh I don't really have a problem with killers having a similar power, like Dracula and Nemesis. For me they're both different enough to have fun with both of them. Although I get your point. But when you have a killer like Springtrap, who is literally the same as Xeno but better, it feels like a scam to me. Like the devs are saying "Oh Xeno wasn't successful enough, so let's reuse his ability and make it way better, and completely ignore and forget about the people who enjoy Xenomorph as a character, they can just buy the better version

For me it would be enough to remove the motion sensors tbh. At least then you could play the supposed stealth killer as an actual stealth killer. And they should add counterplay to the double turret setup

Agreed, the motion trackers just ruins stealth builds for xeno entirely, with or without undetectable, they HAVE to go, tbh, it's one of the reasons why xeno is a low pick rate bc, xeno is Survivor sided killer, due to losing the 24m terror radius, special attack, & almost half of the addons that requires crawler mode, even if the motion trackers weren't in the game, the flame turrets itself would probably still make this killer a low pick rate due to what I said about most of the half of the addons being useless when burned out of crawler mode, ect ect

Bc if they can allow springtrap to stealth amazingly well, then a creature whose main hunting style that IS stealthy, must be allowed too bc the motion trackers still go off even if the xenomorph is undetectable, which is stupid
