Entity behaving abnormally in the bloodweb

edited June 20 in Bug Reporting

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:
The Entity sometimes behaves in a weird ways inside of the bloodweb. I've seen multiple instances of this over the years personally, and on video, however this is the most blatant example I've seen yet.
Date of the issue: 23.05.2025

In this particular case it blocked 2 sets of 2 nodes each, for no logical reason.

Pay attention to the above nodes sets (green and blue) while watching the video. It should've taken the entity 4 "steps" to block all these 4 nodes, meanwhile it did it in just 2 "steps".

PLATFORM:
PC (Steam)

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
1. Manually spend points inside the bloodweb.
2. Repeat for a long time (it happens very rarely).

If you're getting too much of the bloodweb, like in that screenshot, the entity will try to "catch up" and do stuff like this. It's done this for a long time.

It is a semi bug, I think what occurred here was you grabbed same item the entity wanted to take but it instead acted like it took it anyways and grabbed those last 2 items. Maybe a code overlap due to the speed but only the last 2 items the entity takes were bugged, the ones you circled in blue still matched the base mechanics.

So to refurbish your statement, the entity should have taken them in 4 steps but took them in 3.
