Order of Operations With Unhooks / Injuries
Not filing this in bugs since it seems like it's been the intended behavior for awhile now, but just wanted to have a discussion about the order of operations that occurs when a killer injures someone, or when a survivor unhooks someone.
Currently, hitting a survivor with anything that causes exhaust means that Overcome doesn't work, which seems odd to me. I'd expect the order to be:
Injured →Overcome → Exhausted
Just because the Exhaust applies at the same time as the injury means that it's overwriting Overcome's ability to work, even though all these things should happen at the same time rather than anything happening before / after.
Similarly, you can combo Floods of Rage and Gift of Pain with Jagged Compass to proc those perks on every single hook, because again the game's code doesn't seem to differentiate things happening at the same time from being one after the other, allowing the unhook to first trigger the scourge hook to appear and then letting whatever scourge hook procs the killer has on to apply as if they occured after the change happened.
I'm less concerned about that one honestly as it does require two perk slots minimum to pull off, but I would like to see a minor change to the order of operations made to make Overcome work properly.
Overall not a huge deal either way but just thought it could warrant some discussion!

tl;dr: Overcome should still work through exhaust on injuries as it's visually proccing simultaneously to the injury and exhaust occuring, not after. But that's not how the code works.

The Overcome case is actually really weird and not consistent. With Genetic Limits, Overcome takes priority and still gives the longer speedboost. But with Huntress's exhaustion addon, Overcome doesn't work. I feel like either both of them should counter it or neither of them should.
As for the Jagged Compass conversion priorities, this was something I specifically asked about before and Mandy said the interaction was intended.

Ah interesting to hear about the difference on Genetic Limits. Might be a bug after all then if that is proccing differently than Huntress hatches or Springtrap's axe.
