Edit: the bug report discussion area is here:
Edit 2: After sleeping on it (and waking up and seeing it again because it has another reply), I realized this doesn't sound the way I wanted it to at all. That's on me. I thought of changing it to be lighthearted the way it was supposed to sound, decided I'd somehow still mess it up and not like it again tomorrow morning, and so I'm just leaving this as the link to the bug report section, the thing I was originally going to do anyway. 🙄

Obviously its not intended. Come on now. You shouldn't be able to completely invalidate an entire part of the killer by pressing a single button that has no cooldown and isn't intentded to have this kind of gameplay impact.

I'm sorry, but this shouldn't have any type of counter, this addon only have this effect and it can be easily countered by just emoting, that's stupid and should be fixed.

I mean, yeah, I assume it's not intended.
My post originally included a link to the bug report area. I put it back in as an edit.
The original post comes across as a disingenuous way to bring attention to the problem instead of making a bug report.
Edit: I could swear while reading about this issue, I saw someone mention that you used to be able to do the same thing against a Tombstone Myers: emote and he wouldn't be able to Tombstone you. Is that true? I couldn't find anything to validate that.
Edit 2: Does the survivor trying to pull it out of their back stop Springtrap from getting a grab? It doesn't, does it? (I genuinely can't remember, killer queues were too long to play many games.) So, when I'm Springtrap, I could just stare at a survivor and keep them trapped in the gates forever until the survivor starts trying to pull it out, right? And then I could get the grab?

The add on needs reworked. things blocking exit gates other than perks are usually dumb.
Currently survs and killer are arguing if they should each be rewarded with a free kill (in the killers instance for bringing an add on) or survs instance being denied an escape (being healthy and getting axed in the back and not being able to leave) — rework it! It's a bad add on.

Yeah, on the one hand, as survivor, I don't like that if anyone gets nailed with this it's going to be me as I try to help my teammates. It would've happened to me at least twice already; luckily, each time I took an axe in the back helping an injured teammate escape, the killer didn't have the add-on. I kept expecting it.
On the other hand, even though I don't normally run any add-ons as killer, I am tempted to try equipping Loot Bag… but only a little tempted. Because the actual counters to it are 1. not being altruistic and 2. just leaving. Plus, I'm on console, I can't use projectile killers for crap. I got axe hits when the survivors were right in front of me and that was usually about it. I feel like the survivors would have to hand it to me, and then it's not fun. The survivor stood there and took the axe in the back on purpose because he likes me, and then he got blocked by Loot Bag; I'd be a jerk to do anything but nod, laugh, and then let him go. It'd be funny, but not like worth using a purple add-on funny.

What the hell is Lootbag?

A Springtrap add-on that blocks the exit gates if someone within 12 meters of them has the fire axe in their back.
Apparently doing the point emote prevents Springtrap from grabbing the Survivor, which makes him attack instead. And, once they are Down, the add-on deactivates because the axe is no longer stuck in them. And, since it's Survivors being able to invalidate a Killer add-on with a literal push of a button; Expect the fix to be very low priority.
