buff the unknown Behaviour
After playing multiple matches with The Unknown, it’s become clear that he struggles heavily against experienced survivors. His power is too easy to counter with simple line-of-sight, and the pressure he brings is almost non-existent compared to most other killers.
Survivors who know what they’re doing can avoid his blast effortlessly, and the teleport is predictable and doesn't create much map control. Right now, The Unknown feels fun conceptually, but his overall effectiveness is way below average.
Please consider giving him a meaningful buff – whether it's making his blast harder to dodge, reducing cooldowns, or improving his mobility. Against sweaty survivors, he’s almost a free win for them.

I think you should consider checking out some videos of high level Unknown gameplay. Its been a minute since I've heard anything about Unknown but a lot of players are quite comfortable placing him in A tier. Top of B tier for above average and C for below average. Some of the best Unknown mains will swear he's S tier.
Unknown has an extremely high skill ceiling, and while he does have some weaknesses, he does have perks and add-on synergies to give survivors an extremely difficult time.

The main 2 issues are addons being bad, and a direct hit doing nothing.

He definitely needs a buff. Just don’t know exactly what, but for sure.

I’ve seen high-level Unknown gameplay too, but honestly, that doesn’t really represent the average experience. These days, you’re almost always up against sweaty teams who know every trick — pre-dropping, line of sight, and playing super efficiently.
Unknown has an interesting kit, but in practice, he’s just too easy to counter. His blast is easy to avoid if you have decent timing, and the teleport is pretty predictable or useless when survivors stick together. You end up having to work way harder for each chase compared to other killers who can put more pressure on the map.
In theory, he’s strong in the right hands, but in most matches, he’s not cutting it against good survivors without putting in 10x the effort.

Disclaimer, I've never played Unknown, he could be D tier for all I know, but at least from my layman baby Killer perspective, extra effort to get results sounds like a fair tradeoff for a 115% ranged Killer who has no lullaby, can teleport, has AoE damage, can ricochet shots, and can hit through solid surfaces.
Every other ranged Killer is more casual friendly, (especially Springtrap, who also provides heavy projectiles, a cooldown instead of reloading, teleports, and no lullaby) IMO it's neat to have one who's harder to play and I don't see why you wouldn't go for one of the others if Unknown's skillfloor is your issue

get the point you're making, but the problem isn't just that Unknown is harder to play. It’s that, even when you put in the effort, his abilities are too easily countered by skilled survivors. Teleporting, AoE damage, ricochet shots — they sound cool on paper, but they don’t have the same impact when survivors know what they’re doing. The skill floor being high isn’t the issue; it’s that he doesn’t get rewarded enough for the effort.
Compare him to other ranged killers: Springtrap, for instance, has a similar kit with teleports and projectiles, but is much more consistent in applying pressure. The Unknown’s power is too easy to dodge, and against good survivors, it feels like you’re constantly playing catch-up.
It’s not about being "casual" — it’s about balance. Right now, his effort-to-reward ratio is just off, especially against experienced players

well i am not an unknown main, but he is my favorite killer, i would agree with you, because he feels kinda chunky sometimes, but i just looked at my stats and he is my highest kill ratio. So i dont think that what he need is exactly a buff, but some QoL changes to feel less lost, like maybe a sound cue to when someone weakenened is looking at you to lose the weaken like a ghost face, maybe an asson rework to get more insteresting addons and less numerical ones

The only problem with the killer, is that survivors get a full 1.25 second reveal buffer, even when the killer is only revealed for a super small period of time.
The buffer should be changed, so that it doesn’t happen unless the survivor revealed the killer for over 1 continuous second.

Unknown is honestly fine. He definitely doesn't need any changes, nerfs or buffs.

I agree, he's well balanced atm, as well as fun to play and fun to play against. So I don't many reasons to change him for no reason, making him hated for no reason.
