Serious Feedback on The Unknown – He Needs a Buff
After playing many matches as The Unknown, it’s become clear that while he’s a unique and creatively designed killer, he simply doesn't perform well in the current meta, especially against experienced or coordinated survivors.
🔹 Main Issues:
- UVX Blast is too easy to avoid.
Survivors who understand basic line-of-sight and positioning can dodge the blast almost every time. It requires perfect timing to land, and even then, the reward is often minimal compared to the effort. - Teleport lacks impact.
It’s slow, predictable, and rarely provides meaningful map control. Survivors often leave the area before you even arrive, and in coordinated teams, it does very little to shift pressure. - Low chase and snowball potential.
Unlike killers like Spirit, Blight, or even Springtrap, The Unknown struggles to down survivors quickly or snowball from one hook to another. He has no strong perks or tools to suppress healing or slow the game down on his own. - Add-ons don’t compensate.
Most of his add-ons are niche or underwhelming. There’s no standout synergy that significantly enhances his kit the way some other killers benefit from theirs.
⚖️ It's Not About Skill — It’s About Reward
I’ve seen high-level Unknown gameplay too, and while he can shine in specific clips, those moments are the exception — not the rule. In most matches, especially against sweaty teams, you end up working 2–3 times harder than other killers just to keep up. It’s exhausting, and it feels like you're always behind.
🔧 Suggested Buffs (without making him OP):
- Reduce the cooldown or wind-up on UVX Blast, or increase its blast radius slightly.
- Make the teleport faster or give a brief Undetectable status afterward to surprise survivors.
- Slightly enhance hallucinations or blast effects when landing direct hits (ex: apply Weakened).
Right now, The Unknown is more fun than effective.
He needs at least one meaningful change to become viable in serious play. Survivors are getting better and better at countering him, and without buffs, he risks falling into the same category as once-forgotten killers like The Trapper or Clown.
Please consider reviewing his balance — he has real potential, but he’s just not delivering in practice.

Yes he could use some love. But so could 15 or 20 of the rest of the roster who have been powercrept
