Can We Get Some Actual Anti-Cheat or What?
Been playing Springtrap with the add-on to see the color of gens while inside doors. Most matches at a certain point after a few hooks, I legit watch gens pop that had no progress on them five to ten seconds earlier. Like I go into the door and see no progress on any gen because they are all ghost white and then five to ten seconds later, they pop. Post game, no one ever has a single gen perk or one person has prove thyself, as if that's going to pop a gen in ten seconds. Not only that, but I'm quite literally running into Survs speedhacking about every three matches. Watching Survs get faster randomly as we are running in a straight line and I'm about to hit them.
In SoloQ Surv, I have been getting a lot of cheating Surv teammates that are popping gens fast or "working" on a gen with me when they aren't on the gen or healing me when they aren't actually healing me and I'm running around injured until suddenly I'm not.

Hopefully they get an automatic anti-cheat system going that will detect it midgame and ban them. After that, a bot will replace the cheater

Hmm I thought gen cheats was fixed, are you sure there wasn't 3-4 survivors on it?

The sad truth is: Cheaters exist, and DBD has never had real server-side validation to stop them.
Most actions… gen progress, healing, even parts of movement… are still handled client-side, which leaves the door wide open for manipulation. It's not a desync. It's not "just lag." It's 2025 and we're still trusting the player's machine.
And after eight years, it's hard to believe that’s ever going to change. So while we keep reporting, the only real fix would be rebuilding the netcode from scratch.
But let’s be honest… if it hasn’t happened yet, it probably never will.0 -
In SoloQ recently, I have watched as my teammates have healed me and done gens with me, while not being anywhere near me. So yea, there's a lot of people cheating right now. No, gen cheats are absolutely not fixed or I wouldn't be seeing my teammates do gens that they aren't physically at, doing lol

Cheating is a daily reality in this game (screen from today) and that’s not going to change anytime soon.
Sure, we might see occasional ban waves and a sprinkle of hopeful optimism, but let’s be honest: this game has been around since 2017, and it still lacks even the most basic server-side validation. That’s a hard fact.
Until that changes, cheaters will continue to slip through… and players will keep paying the price.0
