Are they doing anything about DC penalties counting against server drops?

I heard there was a lot more dropped games for people since the FNAF chapter and the Anniversary event, but every time I drop connection with the server, I get a crazy DC penalty.

I took some time off from the game (~year) and just started playing more regularly in the past 3 weeks but in the past weekish it's been so bad.

I'm OOTL if this is a bug with the new DC penalties that's already known or if I just can't play this game anymore or if I can suggest a differentiation between a voluntary DC and a server drop?

    I haven't had any count for a while now and it already dropped me once today but it seems to change from player to player.

    Wild, yeah I just got kicked from a lobby "dropped from the dedicated server" - not even in game, and got a 30-minute penalty. Had been playing ~5 matches with no issue. I haven't voluntarily disconnected from a game at any point, just dropping connection even outside a trial gets me crazy bans. Hope I can play more but at this point I'm dubious.
