Unable to repel the crows

After remapping the “Interaction” button to the Right Arrow (→) on the D-Pad, I am unable to repel The Artist’s Dire Crows. The button prompt does not appear at all when afflicted by her power, making it impossible to repel the crows. This does not happen when using the default interaction button.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch Dead by Daylight on PS5.
  2. Go to Settings → Controls → Remap “Interaction” to the Right Arrow (→) on the D-Pad.
  3. Start a match against The Artist.
  4. Get hit with Dire Crows.
  5. Observe that the “Repel” prompt does not appear, and repelling is impossible.

Expected Result:

The “Repel” prompt should appear and be triggered using the remapped interaction button (Right Arrow).

Actual Result:

The prompt to repel The Artist’s crows does not appear at all, making it impossible to perform the action.

Frequency of Occurrence:

100% of the time when the interaction is mapped to the Right Arrow.

    This also occurs if you set it to left on the directional pad

    I’ve searched the Reddit and DBD forums, the issue was first time reported in 2022 and there are multiple threads about it. How come it hasn’t been fixed yet?
