Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

No Way Out should be disabled during EGC

The only way this happens if hatch is closed and its a 1v1, its basically as if survivors would have DS when the exit gates are powered. It doesnt make sense to trigger.

So it would basically… just do nothing?

Literally the entire reason it exists is to prolong EGC. Your suggestion makes no sense.

This also literally isn't even a strong perk in the first place.

It's one of those things where it COULD be healthy for the game, but the game has changed way too much since its inception that it likely isn't. Thankfully it's not commonly in use, but regardless. Locking the gates should probably go unless we have better endgame perks on Survivor again or alternate means to escape.

I think they mean it would still work when gens get finished, but it wouldn't work after hatch gets closed.

It doesn't prolong EGC at all, and that's exactly the problem. With three teammates dead, the Killer likely has max tokens on it. By the time the No Way Out wears off, there isn't enough time to open the gate and escape. It's just a guaranteed death for the last Survivor with no counterplay whatsoever. And escaping through the gate after hatch is closed is extremely difficult even without No Way Out.

EGC is 2 minutes, wdym prolong? No way out blocks it for up to a minute during EGC and gives info on where the last survivor is, when the whole point of EGC is a 1v1 mindgame and trying to convince the killer to check the other gate while you prep another.

No Way Out literally removes that, you might aswell just end the game the second hatch is closed
