Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Chapter Packs

Don't remove the Chapters as a single unit by merging them into a larger package.

Recently I went to purchase the Forged in Fog and Tools of Torment chapters, but they are unavailable separately on Steam. Asked on the Forums, and of course was pointed to the one Chapter "bundle" that contains them both. I am perfectly happy purchasing bundles of products, but I am not going to pay for content I already own. Two of the DLCs contained in the pack, I had purchased previously.

Most games offer a discount based on the number of products you own in a specific bundle. Using Stellaris (dear god the DLC policy of Paradox) as an example, I can pick up any of their bundled packs of DLCs with a discount on top of the bundle discount, depending on which of those DLCs I already own. Different genre and all that, but they are consumer friendly in this regard.

If there had been a discount because I owned 2 of the Chapters already, I'd have purchased it on Steam. But given that I had no choice other than purchasing it from the in-game store or buying the same product again, I just used Iridescent Shards since I have plenty of those.

Maybe have the Chapter Packs available singly as well as bundling them together for a discount. That way you can entice new players into purchasing something they might enjoy, but also provide options for those of us who have been playing a while, and took a bit of a break, and maybe just haven't pulled the trigger on a Chapter. Either that or do a discount in some form based on the number of Chapters a person already owns.
