Worst event ever.
Title. This is mainly just me ranting but this event (and update) has been one of the worst I've ever encountered in dbds lifespan.
Springtrap is dominating every game regardless of how good or bad the survivors are, the event in itself is not bad, but every game has been the same with killers getting super tunnel vision and playing as if there is a large sum of money on the line.
I can count on one hand how many good times I've had in the past month, and before anyone says anything, yes I get that some games go better than others but thats not my point.
I also would like to note for anyone that's thinking it. My skill level didn't suddenly decrease after the update. I was having pretty good games up until the update and then BOOM! it all went downhill very fast.
Idk what's happening but this is something else.

So what'd you think about last year's anniversary?

Springtrap isnt that oppresive killer all you need is know hot to play against huntress plus some normal looping skill and team that doesnt fear gens and outcome is usualy at least two man out which isnt oppresive in my opinion and in fact maybe you getting players slightly above your mmr you get usualy that can be because now there are more killers than survivors playing I think.

Reminder that was the D&D chapter with The Lich.
1 -
To be fair it's not specifically Springtrap that kinda ruins the mode, it's a number of killers (Oni, Lich, Plague etc) that do not have to worry about survivor invitation abilities and that are are able to reap the additional benefits (like remote hooking, and pallet removal etc) that can leave you feeling like what's the point of even playing the mode at all. A lot of sweatiness as per usual… but exacerbated by the fact the go-next prevention is just forcing survivors to throw themselves at the killer instead to end the match as quickly as possible.

the duality of man?
seriously… 2 threads apart…
6 -
I had more cakes, so definetly better…

last year was quite the dog and pony show; every Anniversary brings out the Franklins Force in full fashion, but last years Anniversary debut of Weave Attunement made so many people crash out and go unhinged.
4 -
People finding springtrap op are on something, I really need what they are on cuz by the sound of what it makes them say it kicks harder than blight serum.
1 -
i can't stand springtrap anymore hes not immersive at all i wanna quit
1 -
I still find it crazy how people were losing their mind over the most mediocre perk of all time.
3 -
I actually don't find him that hard to loop but that doesn't mean he isn't getting hook after hook while gen pressure is highly limitee

Nothing near this bad
-2 -
I've yet to face oni, but I do see a lot of plagues and the lich has been showing up a time or two. I've seen more deathslingers tho so that's something new.

The point being?
1 -
I didn't say he was op I said he was dominating the games. There is a thin line separating the two
-1 -
Uhm OP and Dominating Matches is the exact same thing Dude. It's like saying Hashbrowns are not Tater Tots even though there the same thing
0 -
do you not feel as though you are playing fnaf while facing him? he feels very immersive to me
0 -
Its really not the same thing. Just because he's doing well doesn't make him op by design. Skull merchant was never op in an oppressive sense but she was holding matches hostage essentially.
3 -
just pointing out the 2 extremes happening at the same time… "Killer op" "Survivor op".
it's kinda funny how it just keeps happening
0 -
Did I say anything was op? I said the event is going bad since there are much sweatier matches than the usual. That doesn't mean the killers are op it just means they are playing super harsh during an event game
1 -
The map is weird but you know I don't hate it too much. Still have never once gone against a chill Vecna, even as rare as it is to encounter him these days. Never getting that Eye Of Vecna achievement.
1 -
It's pretty much the same as last year's anniversary event, but the lack of pies definitely makes it worse. So yeah, I agree on that point.
3 -
"Springtrap is dominating every game regardless of how good or bad the survivors are"
According to community stats he only has a killrate of roughly 53%... So idk.
-1 -
There are so many tunneling Killers in the EVENT right now, its so depressing.
1 -
I find it funny that BOTH sides complain that the game is an uphill battle for them somehow.
Survivor's complaining I get, it was like that for the last few years, but how did killer get "harder" with THE update that brought multiple mechanics to combat survivor BS?
1 -
Every killer can get fast hooks if survivor team creates sitiation for him and even he has solid mobility he is still slow compeared to billy, blight, kaneki his strength is on low profile looks where he can throw his axe from clouser distance so its hard to duck/doge it and his stealth but he is loud with footsteps like old dreadge.
1 -
Incidentally I had a chill Vecna just the other day. Wasn't lucky enough to unlock that achievement though. ☹️
1 -
Still the majority of matches.

All about mmr differences. The game is killer favored at low mmr and survivor favored at high mmr. The pendulum swings far and wide.
Then you have blight/nurse/ghoul who are just broken at all MMR and throws it all out of whack.
-2 -
I can agree with not seeing any chill Vecnas. Though more often then not I play chill when I play him.
The first time I went for that achievement I didn't realize you had to activate it. Was so annoyed. Lucky I managed to get it another time. My heart was beating like crazy when I was looking for the hatch.

Good luck 😭

I managed to get Outbreak Breakout much easier. I've gotten the eye a couple times, but they always tunnel you out when you have it. Last one I went against tunneled hard right from the beginning, but I did get my chase challenges done lmao
Someday I'm sure I'll get lucky and nab it too. I'm not too stressed about it tbh but it'd be cool.

It got harder because with the new Go Next Pervention System is not Allowing Killers to play normally again and sense Of the Go Next Epidemic we Killer mains where effected by being used to people Killing Themselves on hook. So some of us lost alot of skill making are games harder.
On top of that Gens Have been flying every game because sense survivors can't go next and Healing speeds are crazy fast giving Survivors more time on Gens making Gen Speeds extremely faster than normal which increases the need to Tunnel from Killers.
This isn't Killers or Survivors fault because this is just poor Game Design and The Go Next Epidemic that took a huge Impact on both sides.
-1 -
Not sure if you play in my region but if you ever match up against me you’ll get it. I always let the survivor go who has the hand or eye just in case they need it.

Aye aye 😎

Were you here for the free snowman health state event?
The void endurance event?
The fight over Alcoholic Beverage generators?
What about the free dead hard masquerade?
This isn't that bad
-1 -
Been there for all of it. None of them had springtrap
-1 -
Springtrap is worse than free health states, event targets being camped, etC?
-1 -
Yes.

Yea i loved playing marco polo with the debuff icon trying to figure out where Timmy dropped his medkit, all the while giving the killer aura reading. And by the time I've found it and moved it away from shack, Timmy has looted something else and dropped it near another important area.

Yeah, some people really thought back then it was fine that you had to perform some triangulation to find an Item dropped by your SoloQ Teammate. Even without having to do that, playing against Weave Attunement is such a timesink if you want to do it properly, because you have to carry the Item to some corner of the Map or so. All while the Killer sees your aura twice while doing so (one time when obtaining the item, one time when putting it on the ground again).
@Topic:
Since I wanted to complain about the event somewhere anyway, I can do it here, lol. I would agree that it is one of the worst events.
- Cake Spawns got lowered. I dont know WHY they made this decision, I always thought that during events you should get showered with event items to make them feel special. But this does not happen. For some reason they think it is bad if players have too many cakes…
- Event is completely recycled from last year. This is really bad, because this means that it is not only more boring for players who already played it last year, but it also means that all the imbalanced stuff is still in the game. The remote pallet break was a huge issue last year and is this year again. And my main problem with this is not even that we go against Springtrap quite often, but Ghoul. Ghoul is way more annoying and strong than Springtrap, but also does not even lose tokens when doing the remote break. In general, I dont play the event queue anymore as Survivor unless really needed (for the Quests), since I have a better and probably easier time in regular queue. As Killer I play the event queue because it is easier.
- We dont even have a event lobby. This is probably what stings the most - they probably decided against it because 14yo players will not play if they dont see FNAF in the Lobby or something like that. There is no real reason why they would not give us an event lobby.
1 -
Stop it! :D Be happy there are some events and you can grind for up to 750 % BP bonus. The event might be repetitive and bit killer sided but it's still some alternative mode for a time. Surely anyone has different opinion, but as I know it's better to have some events than none.
-2 -
The event itself most of the stuff wastes the survivors time like Party totem, Party chests, or worse gives the killer massive advantages like Expose, Reveal. The survivor benefits from invitations is meh at best like throw away pallets or blocking a vault which most killers do not play m1s in this mode. This is compounded by the removal of self unhook unless you run garbage luck stuff.
