This Needs To Stop … NOW!
This DC penalty thing is ridiculous. Especially when you have no power to control it. We have a heat wave going on and in the last 24 hours my power has gone out four times. I have no control over that and I’m being punished by the game for power going out. The last one just happened five minutes ago and I was on my favorite map, and things were going well. I didn’t disconnect because I wanted to I disconnected because my power went out and now I’m being punished for that?
I understand that there are people that rage quit. But you cannot just lay down some broad penalty that punishes people that are not disconnecting by choice. We are having a heat wave here and I’m quite pissed off at my power company for how often the power goes out here even if it’s just a blip it’s enough to reset my damn PlayStation. I definitely shouldn’t be punished for something that’s beyond my control. I was already upset enough that I finally got my favorite map and didn’t get to play it and on top of that you add insult to injury by taking me down a full grade.

Since they “fixed it” it has gone out for 5-30 seconds twice more. But yes, I should be penalized for this 🙄

It would be nice if they could make it the game only gives a penalty to someone who actively went to the pause menu and manually clicked disconnect from the round, as all other cases are either internet provider / server / or weather causes. And now that the penalty is much greater, youd think itd be more sensitive to figuring out if it was you pressing the button or not.

They won’t do that. They only catered to the most entitled of players. The people who are voting this down even when I’m showing that my power was out just shows you that they don’t care. They only care about being catered to. If there was any type of integrity for this game, things would change. But they won’t. The most toxic people will be the ones who are catered to because they are the loudest voices.

Why are you continuing to play online when you know you are having major problems, will lose power, and be unable to play consistently? Your circumstances do not matter to anyone but yourself, you are ruining matches for other people regardless whether its intentional or not and hence getting punished for it regardless of if its out of your control or not.
Easily abused to avoid ever getting penalised.

I woundn't try to do or turn on my computer while a situation like that is happening. I mean why would you try to destroy your drive ?

You have control over it, control to stop playing dbd cause your power is unstable.

Max penalty of 5 min would be enough but without grade loss - that new change is too harsh😭
