Slenderman in DbD
Is niche? Sorta. But I’d love to see him make it in. If FNaF can, he definitely should. Without Slenderman there wouldn’t be a FNaF imo. At least not in the huge success of indie horror we see now. Slenderman is like the originator. Thousands of spin-offs and fan games, obtuse lore, iconic simple design and most of all the obessesion and nightmare of the kids who grew up with him. I know Unknown is our 3 in 1 creepypasta killer, but my boy belongs here too in some way. If Bhvr REALLY just HAD to do it like it was a chore. The bare minimum. He could be a visceral/legendary (idk the names anymore) for Dredge. Honestly I’d love it regardless. Think about it. Teleporting everywhere, randomly making the trial pitch black. It’s almost there! But I think Slendy should have his own chapter. He’s iconic too.

Certain polling I've seen places Slender as incredibly popular in terms of requests. While he's probably the hardest character to imagine slotting into the killer role mechanically, I would love to see the devs take on the challenge eventually.
Many have said the IP would be counted out because of the unfortunate real world attack, which is ultimately up to the developers, but in my eyes, there have been crimes committed in the name of a lot of the IP's on the roster, Slenderman shouldn't be much different.
Which version of Slender do you think they'd go for? I like Marble Hornets as the basis for a chapter the most.

The creator of marble hornets has already expressed interest in adding his version of Slender to dbd as far back as a year ago, and even went as far as actually contacting BHVR about it.

It’s hard to choose, but I’d like a blend of his game appearances with the mythos. Tendrils poking out and such. He is very hard to implement I think because if u make him too passive he sucks and the pages in most concepts are incredibly problematic designs to implement. In a perfect world we’d get a Dredge like fog in the map. With him stalking before attacking. Maybe having to mark survivors, and the pages let them protect themselves? I’m not sure how to do it but that’s what I’d start with.

That’d be cool but I think fox or warnerbros owns the Slenderman ip now after the movie happened.

Marble hornets is a separately owned IP and for reference the Slender there is called "The Operator" and technically not the same character and as such is not owned by fox or warnerbros.
