About the Dying Light perk

Rework it. All it does is tempt killers into tunneling/camping one person in order to bring the game WAY into their favor. It's not fun to play against, and it's too risky to use otherwise as a killer since you might not encounter the obsession until it's too late and only like 2 gens are needed to power gates.

Perhaps make it like a Sacrificed version of Thanatophobia— for every sacrificed survivor, reduce the action speed of all living survivors by 5/10/15%. This way, the perk lives up to its name as your hope, like your team, dies.
Specifically Sacrificed, though, not Dead. Killing survivors via Moris or, especially, Tombstone/piece is already a disaster for the survivors when done early.

When you run dying light you are also supposed to be running Ivory mori.

You're not Supposed to combo it with anything, but you can.

Once again, it's not fun to be hounded down and instant killed, wasting your time and power bill while essentially dooming the lobby to failure. Nor is it as a killer to waste a perk slot in the event the Obsession avoids you all match.

    It's lackluster and needs reworked.

How about make It work like BBQ and Chili?

Each time you hook a survivor for the first time you recive a token, each token gives a permanent 5% reduction in all actions to all survivors.

I agree Dying Light should be reworked, to slow down gen rushes without condemning the obsession to an immediate death.

    NEW DYING LIGHT.
You become obsessed with one Survivor.

Each time you hook or kill a Survivor, you gain a Token, if the Obsession is still alive or has escaped. Each Token gives all Survivors who are not the Obsession a penalty of 2/3/4% to Repair, Healing and Sabotage speed. Each Token increases the Obsession's Repair, Healing and Sabotage speed by 3/4/5%.

That's a strategic perk: the killer must slow down the Obsession's work without killing them, to gain more tokens during the trial.

You're supposed to combo it with Myers. His perks and addons synergize really well together. You stack hit cooldown with Save the Best for Last, get a speed boost from Play With Your Food, and use a Tombstone type addon to kill your Obsession, giving you Dying Light. It all works well together as Myers.

Alternately though, it does work well with other killers too with a Mori, or some other way to kill off a survivor, like Rancor or Devour Hope. This is especially true with Freddy, since his perks are very endgame. Stacking Remember Me and Dying Light slows exit gates dramatically.

Being hunted down has always been a big part of Obsession perks. Usually the Obsession is someone using Obsession perks themselves, which is the point of the whole thing. It's a lot of risk/reward.

Actually, Dying Light does not affect exit gates.

Either way, it's good with Remember Me and some of Freddy's addons

There is no real benefit for the killer to run this rework you've proposed. You're telling the killer to let the obsession go for a minimal slow down that can be easily nullified. Also the obsession just gets to be a gen jockey with a boost that is going to stack with toolboxes, other perks and addons. This actively defeats the point of Obsession perks for the killer. You're meant to gamble your time on the obsession for substantial benefit. Your rework just tells the killer to not bother at all. The obsession doesn't have to fear being hard targeted and gets a boost for letting teammates die. At that point you might as well just tell the survivor to run Sole Survivor.

The killer gains more power by completing his objectives: to hook or kill people. A complete trial requires 12 hooks: just with 5 hooks, less than half, the killer gets 20% of slow down which affects all the survivors' actions, except the Obsession's. The killer can, and should, hook twice the Obsession, to make him waste his bonus in a long healing loop, without tunneling him to death. All the team loses efficiency and this loss is definitive, unlike Thanatophobia's penalty. When the killer is satisfied and wants no more tokens, then can sacrifice the Obsession and leave the team without any bonus. Isn't that a good perk for you? How should it operate?
