Incorrect application of "go next prevention" system

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: Simple. After being disconnected from the host in an event game earlier today, I noticed I had regressed a grade. I'm guessing this is a misapplication of the "go next" prevention.
PLATFORM:PC
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: Step 1: Queue for and enter an event match.
Step 2: Start channeling a party totem.
Step 3: Get disconnected from the host.
Step 4: Notice you've lost a survivor grade at the end of a subsequent match.
