DBD Servers Are Too Unstable For New DC Penalty System
The amount of times where the server has crashed and disconnected everyone in the lobby and yet I still get hit with a 5min DC penalty is ridiculous.
Like not only do I lose all my progress and bloodpoints (a lot of times after a 20min match) because YOUR servers are unstable but then I also get hit with a punishment for something that's completely out of my control.
How is this acceptable? And it happens so often, it honestly makes me want to quit the game. I've never played any other game with servers that crash at this frequency. You need to fix them before implementing this sort of penalty system.

Dedicated Server issues shouldn’t be giving you a DC penalty.
I’ve yet to experience this on my end and I play a lot of DBD. What region are you in?

Well it does… I'm on NA. And I won't be gaslighted into thinking it's a tech issue because i've played against and with people who were streaming when it has happened and you could clearly see they disconnected as well at the same time and got the same server error message.

It's true, there shouldn't be a DC penalty because the servers crash on occasion. Seems like a good idea.

Btw before people start throwing a fit, my suggestion is for them to FIX their servers and make them stable before implementing this system. Not for them to abolish the DC penalty completely…
Obviously the game needs a DC penalty, but it's extremely frustrating for the servers to crash as often as they do and then to get penalized for it on top of that is a slap in the face.

I’m not gaslighting anyone. Is the error message a dedicated server issue? (Is that the error that pops up?)

This happens to me from time to time.
You get an error message and then hit with a DC penalty even though it wasn't your fault.

Are there different error messages when you get disconnected? I don't remember the wording exactly but the next time it happens, which I know it will, i'll take a screenshot.

I believe so yeah. One of them is “The dedicated server has stopped responding” everyone gets booted. (Should be 0 penalties on that)
If a cheater or hacker disconnects your lobby. Everyone gets penalized. Including the cheater lol.

That’s so messed up. I’m so sorry. I get the annoying dedicated server issue too, but thankful no penalty as of yet 😮💨

So what's the message when a hacker boots you? I'm pretty sure it's the 1st one I get, the stopped responding one. Either way this only further backs up my point, in that you get penalized for disconnections out of your control. At the very least the game needs to recognize the difference between an intentional DC and one that wasn't.

The only issue, how does it know if you didn’t just tab out, restart app, or unplugged the ethernet cable?Perhaps better detection systems as you mentioned should be created.

Most of the time when I get that Dedicated Server stopped responding " error message I wouldn't get a penalty. Most of the time.
