The map offerings change killed plays like scratched mirror Myers
Guys, I am 100% sure that the pick rate of the map dependent builds like scratched mirror Myers dropped through the floor after the recent change. Not being able to choose an indoor map completely demotivates from playing creative builds. I really liked how before you could actually make a killer scary (map offerings + perks like the old Knockout that made survivors truly oblivious and lost about what the hell is going on). Now all that's left is grind gring gring for a win… :(

Frankly maybe Scratched Mirror Myers should be reworked then. Maybe it should not give the downsides it does anymore. But the answer is 100% not to bring back Map Offerings as they were before, they were too often used to tilt games in one side's favor.

Good. Scratched mirror myers has always been a boring playstyle for lazy players who can't bother engaging in any sort of chase to get their hits and instead rely on mindless stealth, wallhacks, and the lack of possible coordination between soloq survs. If that's what you're looking for, go play a singleplayer game so you can live it out without ruining the experience of others

I enjoy Scratched Mirror Myers, but if losing that is the cost of being forced to the same few maps almost every game, then that a price I’m willing to pay.
Players shouldn’t have that much control over which poorly balanced map we end on, and it needed change for the overall betterment of the game.
Myers is a poorly designed Killer, and needs a full rework anyway.

I don't care.

Scratched Mirror does need a change now, but that's all. There is not anything else in the game that required an indoor map and the offering nerfs were needed for both sides

I mean, I personally like indoor maps and thought it was fun to play against Ghostface and Myers on Midwich because it's spooky, but yeah, that's about the only thing I personally miss from this change. It was objectively unfair to have Dredges forcing Midwich, SWFs four-stacking to force Eyrie with their sabo-wiggle builds, Huntresses and Onis forcing open maps, Survivors forcing Macmillan's because they watched the Ayrun tutorial and know they can break Killers' ankles on it. It wasn't fun to be on the other side of that because the game was basically lost from the start depending on the Killer and depending on the map.

Side note: when I got serious about learning how to play survivor and the looping it was so nice to play the same map (even though diff variations) several times in the row. Otherwise, with so many different maps + different killers it is SO OVERWHELMING for new players. Just my 5c BHVR. I have more than 1500h now and believe the abuse of map offerings wasn’t that common.

I woudln't call Mirror Myers a creative build. It was basically completely stealthy wallhacking gameplay based on hit and run that was boring to go against and Myers still has tombstones. So there is no reason to give him that combo back.

Your point?

Well BHVR confirmed "the shape" gameplay changes and with that said i hope tomb gets a full rework, michael becomes 120% killer at tier 2/3
Ideally undetectable during stalk at tier 2 and tier 3 basekit PWYF

And his mirror addons need buff too

The main driving force behind changing the Map offerings was to limit the advantage of certain maps for a particular role. I'd rather they tweak maps more to deal with issues, but this is the route they took.
A necessary casualty of all this is killer map-dependant builds, and no doubt Myers took the biggest hit. But this speaks more to his add-ons needing changes.
