What killers would be fine with just a addon pass and slight changes?
Since we saw this kind of with Pyramid head with them making some parts base kit (range and trail duration and rites of judgement time) and them completely overhauling his addons (amazing pass btw love it outside of 2 that might be busted). I would include Billy but they also added overdrive in place of overheat. What other killers would be good with this type of approach as well? I see commonly Nemi if they made the zombies faster slightly and his mutation rate higher then just gave him a slightly better set. Knight would be good with more transformative addons if call to arms was made mostly base (like it just was on the ptb) but I can have a use for most of his. I think wraith is a pretty big example of this too. All his addons are mostly repeats in different rarity's which makes his set kind of boring so it'd be nice to make kicks faster in cloak and uncloaking slightly faster and just make more interesting ideas. Anyone else?

Nemesis BADLY needs a Pyramid Head style addon pass/rework
They changed his addons to try and make marvin's blood and the coin less appealing… And now it's marvin's blood and licker's tongue instead.
The zombie addons are almost all terrible and a waste. Zombies moving slower is actually more beneficial because it takes survivors longer to lead them away/lead them to pallets etc. The tentacle is the main part of nemesis and the zombies are just an RNG aspect that can either do nothing or stall survivors quite well.

After posting this i thought of doctor as well. he has the same repeated 3 addon style a lot of old killers had. "These 3 addons make TR bigger/Smaller. These 3 addons reduce shock delay. These 3 addons reduce cooldown" lol. its such a snooze. Him and wraith have that same problem i feel.
6 -
As someone who quite enjoys Doctor, I think his addons are decent but the shock delay addons are far too powerful in comparison to the others. Not saying they should be nerfed but they completely change how survivors have to play against him if he runs double delay reduction

Artist.
Myers.
Houndmaster (if you add a load of bugfixes in).

Oh wasn't saying the addons are bad i think the wraith addons are really good as well. the problem stems from do you need 3 to do the exact same thing when you could just make part of the effect base kit. Lower the addon appropriately so it only fits in one addon maybe for each type of benefit. Then make a entirely new set that's more interesting. If wraith kicked stuff while cloaked faster base. Uncloaked faster base. And moved faster in cloak base. Then they just make the windstorm,Shadowdance,And i forget the last one 1 addon each (So you go from like 9 addons to 3 in total) . Then added a new effect to the existing addons that are opened by that. Same with doctor if they made shock delay a bit faster. Had his Tr be bigger when blast is active. And Reduced the cooldown a bit. Then made more interesting addons like "the doctor illusions now run at survivors and if they hit them they scream" or something.

Might be controversial, but Wraith
Should he be a priority? No, since his add ons are still decent. But a lot of them are just the same with different values. For example he has 3 different Swift Hunts, 3 Windstorms, 2 Shadow Dances (and more Im not thinking of)
He should also get Shadow Dance basekit, maybe 20-25%.
3 -
As an avid Wraith enjoyer I think his addons are in a pretty good spot tbh. There's alot of repetition sure but quite alot of variety as well.
@topic I think Nemmy is the biggest stand out as someone needing an addon rework.
2 -
Might be hot take but Demo is one of those killers who aged badly due to powercreep with newer killers and still most of his addons besides Glasses and heart are just meh.
5 -
I mean Im not saying his add ons are bad, but we dont need 3 copies of the same add on. He could have so much more.
2 -
I'm not sure what else can be done really. With a power that simple it's hard to have interesting addons that relate to his power.

Demo needs an addon pass. Most of his addons are insanely boring and just copies of one another.
Sadako needs some addon adjustments and buffs.
11 -
Deathslinger. Reload addons should be partial basekit, and he desperately needs an addon pass. He only has a few good addons worth using and the rest are either mediocre or garbage.
Also agree with the others saying Nemesis and Wraith

Re-introducing the original effect of Windstorm where it increased the speed boost after uncloaking (I know its basekit now, but make it increase the duration of the effect)
An add on that makes it so a Survivor emmits a TR for a certain duration
An add on that gradually increases his movement speed while cloaked
An add on that makes him completely invisible (with some sort of downside)
These are just a few things I could quickly come up with, imagine a full team sitting down to discuss what they can add

Almost all of them? There are like 4-5 killers out of 40 who has more than 5 addons worth running. The only killers I can think of in a way "Hm what I can choose now to not feel limited because I need to run a specific addon and have multiple options to pick" are probably Blight (and he had much bigger variety), Singularity and Clown (he will lose it completely if this stupid PTB update will go live fully).
Who should be first? Imo it's Doctor, Demo, Deathslinger and Wraith.1 -
I do like the idea of the extended speed boost. Not sure about the others. I see your point though.

Going to also buck the mold here and say Ghostface.
He's nearly perfect I think but could stand some kind of slight mobility fix, and maybe a couple little QoL buffs to Reveal, but he's otherwise fine. The other issue he has is that some addons legit do nothing or don't have a purpose except to promote bad playstyles - I think of the ones that make reveal off Hook and revealing if someone is slugged take longer here. Rework addons like those and maybe give him some kind of slight haste in Shroud and he's a solid High C to low B as clearly intended.

Artist since she only has a few add-ons that are even worth using and the devs tried to nerf them few months ago only to revert the changes.
1 -
Would reverting Skull Merchant back to 2.0 be considered a "slight change"?
If so, then her. And adjust one or two add-ons while we are at it, if possible.
-2 -
Myers I feel is a killer who needs a significant power rework, at least as far his mini-mori ability goes.
-1 -
I dont know. Some of his addons are already pretty transformative but others like the tombstones just cant really exist in a balanced form. Personally if they make the mori basekit on deathhook like pyramid. And buff his stalk speed and movement speed in stalk. They could make some fun addon ideas similar to pyramid head. "You can now swap back and forth between tier 1 and tier 2. You keep the charge in tier 2 but cannot gain more in tier 1" or "when entering tier 3 everyone within 32 meters screams and reveals their location" i dont think we need to full rework him the pyramid head approach could work.

I would like to see some addon pass on the Doctor. His addons are not bad (not counting the meme tapes), but most of them are 3 copies of the same effect, only the magnitude grows with rarity. I would keep one of each but I would like to see more actual variety.
Not really sure what exactly the new effects should do…since doctor is M1 killer, something that could help in chases could be good. Maybe something like "When a survivor is hit with Shock therapy, there is x% chance to apply (some status effect) for Y seconds" could be one addon.
Doctor's power revolves around Madness levels and skill checks, so addons might apply some effect to survivors as long as they are at certain Madness level or buff the Doctor in some way every time a survivor misses a skill check.
I don't know, just something to get rid of the "copy" addon system.

probably trapper.
Starts with all traps, then give all those addons effects instead like deep wound, oblivious , ect.
It’s not much but would go a long way. Still pretty noob friendly, doesn’t change much about facing him.
His kit is very dated.
3 -
Give Demo better addons and lower the volume of the stomping and they're perfectly fine.
1 -
Probably an unpopular pick but I'd honestly kinda say Trapper.
With a few slight basekit tweaks and a hefty, extensive addon rework I'd say Trapper would be elevated to just being a low tier. He'd be much more capable of engaging with the game on a basic level, and while he wouldn't be strong he'd be fine.
A couple killers could use addon changes though, and not just for strength reasons. Wraith could use the lower rarities of his scaling sets being reworked because there's no reason to run them, Nemesis could do with some reworks because most of his addons fit in the "functional and decent but boring" camp, maybe a few reworks here and there for Sadako. I wouldn't say too many need what happened to Pyramid Head though- his addons were always notoriously terrible and the only other killer to even come close was pre-rework Freddy.

Sadako.

Demo and Slinger maybe.
2 -
Thank you for all the responses in here, folks! There are some really good thoughts here that I can make sure are noted as feedback on our end.

Addon that makes survivors scream if they get touched by Wraith while invisible.
or addon where survivors randomly hear his bell while invisible
0 -
Trapper- Mangled and hemorrage can be combined, give deep wound on escaping traps basekit.
Deathslinger- Add on pass
Huntress- Iri Hatchet rework
Clown- Pinkie Finger Rework
Wraith/Doctor- Don't need 3 variants of same add-ons
Sadako- More add-ons that affect condemned
Myers- Tombstone Rework
3 -
What would you do to rework tombstone? Bc without it he doesnt have much lethality (id say add it basekit but the survivor has to be fully stalked/death hoom)

hag she needs a little tiny speed boost to her base movement, and I would decrease her teleport speed just a little bit to that she teleports quicker and gains control. People can wipe her traps.
I feel bad everytime I’m matched against them if they’re not a god which is less likely significantly than them being an actual hag god. Make her feel good to play. I really think a little bit would go a long way with her.

The problem with wraith is that every addon is basically needed in some capacity. Its what they keep doing with him.
Realistically, they should just take every top addon that buffs numbers like windstorm and so on, give 75% of it to him in basekit, make the last 25% come from a single addon each, and then give him a bunch of new addons that do fun stuff.Post edited by Reinami on2 -
I'd love this so much! Having lots of fun addons to pick for nemesis would make him so much more enticing.
3 -
Definitely up for that. This would be perfect

I think that Unknown can be made much better by just making it so that UVX pops on a direct hit. Also, his add-ons are kinda bad, so he could do with an addon pass.
0 -
TBH Trapper needs HEAVY addon tweaks. You could give him literally every addon he has now as basekit and he'd still be bad.

Spirit.
Fix her duration addons and the addons that actively make her power worse. Replace Cherry Blossom, because you should be learning how to phase properly. Fix the bugged audio addon.
0 -
I would start with all the killers that have abunch of repeat addons. Wraith and Doc have several sets of addons that repeat the same effect to varying strengths.
3 -
Cherry Blossom is kind of a necessary evil because some people might be hard of hearing and can’t play her without that add-on. While I don’t like it nor do I use it, it’s there for that purpose.
I do agree that she could use an add-on pass that gives her a more unique variety of add-ons to choose from. Why would you stray away from flute, sports cap, or tailsman? Her brown add-ons are just worse variations of blue or green rarities and her purple ones are either niche or completely nerf you.
0 -
One i'm sure is the Unknown. With a little less cooldown (like 2 or 1,5s less), a little bit more of weakened duration and some very small nerfs on his teleport (to compensate his strength) he would be in the perfect spot. Direct hits with UVX should have some kind of reward, specially to discourage people to throw themselves at you. Addons could have a quick addon pass, although the only case i think that needs some attention is the Vanishing Box.
Another one which i'm not sure is the Knight. He needs more of his addons as basekit (BHVR is quite doing that, but its not enough) and some kind of chase buff whenever his guards are chasing someone, to encourage the Knight to go on chase while the guards are in the hunt. But i don't know if this would be enough to make him viable in higher MMR, as survs are getting better and better.

I would give Trapper Lengthened Jaws and Trapper sack as basekit, and keep the effect of Trapper sack so he can't pick up set traps. Then the reworked Trapper sack would instead allow him to pick up traps and start with 3 traps for people who wants to play "old" Trapper. The L Jaws basekit is just so injured survivor don't escape traps with no punishment at all for stepping in them.
It's really good to see Pyramid Head get this addon pass he needed it for ages. BHVR should just overlook addons in general on killers that is very seldom used, think about why they are not used and change them.
For example Hags addon Disfigured Ear it's a very unique addon giving the Deafened status effect very cool! Only I can guess it's never used? Because it's not good so why not look at what they can add to it? Scarred Hand, Grandmas Heart these are also two purple addons for Hag that is very weak and they are just there, to never be used? These are just examples and many killers have these addons green, purple etc that is not good. They often make weak perks better and strong perks gets nerfed to mix it up a bit. Same should be done to addons.

Its really valuable for us when you devs tell us that you are reading feedback, specially in these kind of topics.
7 -
Agree. There are really only two add-ons worth running on him and I never unequip them. That’s a tell-tale sign that the killer badly needs a full rework of add-ons.
1 -
Hillbilly’s add-ons are still pretty terrible even after getting a pass not too long ago. I only run two or three and even those I feel aren’t that good.

Some arent that good (talking tp you dissipation) but I feel like hes way further behind to some like nemi but fair lol.
