EAC Error Code 3 on Windows version, switched to Steam now can't migrate accs
I haven't had any response from support. Waited days already. I left my pc on when I went to work and came back home to play. I couldn't get in a game. I've used every guide under the sun, and as I've said I contacted them on Twitter (X) and via email.
Gave up on that route so went through Steam to get the game. It works, but any time I try to link and merge the accounts it won't let me. It won't open the website on Chrome, so I used Edge. It keeps saying that my Steam is already linked. My Steam isn't linked anywhere because I don't use it. I launched the game, played a game, and tried again. Still nothing. Tried via Safari on my phone, kept getting an error code 404 after I logged into Steam. Steam is giving me the option to link my account but BHVR is being a pain. I need help because I spent money for the rift pass, now I won't be able to complete it in time. I've poured so much money into the Windows account and I refuse to lose it.
I've seen FAQs in response to these errors so let me answer them:
- No, I've never cheated. This computer is a year old now with no history of hacks as it was bought brand new.
- No one has had access to my accounts to use cheats (2FA)
- Yes, support has been contacted, no response
- Yes, I've tried repairing the EAS file. It won't open, just flickers. Tried every command in the command console, no fix.
- I've got up-to-date drivers, BIOS, and Windows
- Launched computer in softboot, no work
- Ran EAC file as administrator, also tried to launch and play DBD as administrator. No fix
Fortnite uses EAC and works fine, so I'm stuck. Someone please help me get in contact with someone who can actually fix this. I've read reinstalling Windows doesn't work either.
