Charge system rework

I agree, but the new effect is very good to be fair. It makes chest very good. I kinda hope the chest effect and the old effect stay. The aura reading isnβt needed.

It could just have both effects. Streetwise needed a buff imo

Maybe that is how I should have worded it. I agree. It did need a buff. I just don't want to see the current effect disappear is all :(

The rework of this perk was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT for me. It became another one of those useless, extremely situational chest perks. I always used it in genrush builds, and now I have to find another alternative. If this perk wasn't used much before, it won't be used by players at all now.

They could have added the old effect to the new but, its really not a bad perk as it is now. I love it with my treasure chest build. 80% more charges on my toolbox is so nice

Honestly, I didn't like it. There aren't many chests available on the map, and most of the time they've already been opened by other players. And the items aren't that great either. I prefer to stick with Build To Last; it's a more guaranteed option for more item loads. They literally made this perk situational and not guaranteed.

goblin build are hella funny until itβs not on your teammate who need to commit to 99 gen or rescue other person before they hit another hook stage

I don't really see why the old effect was removed... the new effect could have easily been a perk in its own right.
What I really like about the new version (excluding bugs), is you can take it with guaranteed items perks Residual Manifest or Scavenger and get a pretty hefty item.
Like with Scavenger, a regular toolbox comes out at 36 charges with 50% repair speed... that's not a slouch at all, basically a better Commodius at base...
Then of course you can also try your luck with Plunderer's Instinct and also get some pretty saucy items.... a Commodius itself comes out at a whopping 57.4 charges.
It's pretty darn decent... but I dunno why we lose old Streetwise at the same time. Nor Franklin's for that matter.

I agree π― with this too.

Not so sure of that, old Streetwise you could do some pretty gnarly stuff.
It's important to remember for generators, using a toolbox grants 40% skillcheck chance, and with teh right build you can really exploit this. One of my favourite uses of this effect was Bardic Inspiration, Streetwise, Built to Last with a Max charge Commodius, and most importantly avoid ALL repair speed perks (such as Prove Thyself or Deja Vu). You don't want repair speed cause you want to preserve charges, and slower repair speed means slower item consumption, means more 40% skillchecks. Working with a teammate was perfect because you both benefit from it and your repair speed is slower, keeping your Commodius for much longer.
With this even solo, you can really surprise rush generators hard, catching killers out with a generator at 0% one minute, then 90% 50s later.
Old Streetwise was no joke π

Toolboxes and Medkits don't use the new charge system. And Built To Last which functions similarly to old Streetwise works with the new charge system anyway.

New Streetwise is still really good wish there was an option for both but with the new if you get a commodious or a engineer toolbox its still enough to finish an entire gen (And that's when working properly).

I agree 100%

It's in fact terrible perk, 3 of 6 items are not effected by the perk at all and the aura reading is not worth the perk. You could stack it to do gens faster, save beams longer, heal more times. Now it's russian rullete whether the perk will even do anything.

That's weird. I used Built To Last with new maps and it did nothing. (Yes, item was fully decharged)

That's fair, though I feel like that's more of an issue with that toolbox itself than it is with Streetwise. Commodious with double charges has always been too strong imo, whether you have Streetwise or not
