Scavenger doesn't feel right.

I think the 50% repair penalty should be reduced to 30% OR the 30 seconds bumped down to 20?

One or the other. The penalties for using this perk comes at a high price.

    Ask yourself this: why use Scavenger when you could just use Built To Last?

    If you wanted to refill your toolbox and get more value, I think even Exultation does a better job…

    Built to last takes time to use versus just being on the gen already. Preference choice honestly. I just don't want to keep going into the locker over and over. Also 3 charges. Scavenger. Infinite. Exultation once your item is maxed rarity no longer fills up your item, so it wasn't worth it for me. I like the idea of the item. Maybe its bugged. I dont know.

    As Built to Last exists, Scavanger is meh. You reload toolbox max 2x per game. Built To Last doesn't penalize you.

    You will have to hit 5 GREAT skill checks… and that alone can take time. Maybe you'll actually get enough skill checks, but will you land all the greats as well? And then, if you blow up the gen, might as well kiss all the benefit you were trying to get from another toolbox goodbye. But on top of that, the -50% penalty to repair speeds?? Why?? That alone feels like it completely guts the entire purpose of the perk. Unless… I don't know. You really just wanted to use it to refill a sabo toolbox??

    That was caused by some people (Otz) saying it might be a lot, and was nerfed in the following update.

    Scavenger originally needed 4 great skill checks to refill. They made it so refills are unlimited, but in most game you get max two refills and is only good with one toolbox and two add ons, otherwise it's not worth running. They put the penalty on to the perk so people who are grat at hitting great skill cheks can't rushed too quickly, so essentially you want to spend the time of the penalty not using the toolbox. I've been running scavenger and I feel that streetwise was way better or built to last. Streetwise sadly is getting huge nerf so it gives you extra charges from box, but no longer can be used to help other players. So essentialy two people that ran streetwise can no longer have -40 % depletion, which again is actually a huge buff to killer, because it makes genrushing survivors weaker.

    I mean I get it, I do. I use stake out and hyper focus so skill checks are pretty easy for me.

    Like I said, it’s just a preference. I just wish I had a little more wiggle room on the perk is all :)

    The problem with buffing Scavenger is that toolboxes are too good for that perk to not be bad, which is why that perk shouldn't have left the design phase until they had something to reign in toolboxes to go alongside it.

    I'd love to see the perk be less meh, but you'd then have to grapple with the fact that people are just gonna use it in stacked Commodious genrush builds, and that's a problem.

    I've loved Scavenger since its release and I wish it could be made a little better, but unfortunately it's un-buffable as long as Commodious toolbox exists in its current state imo

    Its a neat perk. I am using Hyper Focus, Stake Out, Scavenger, and Potential Energy, so when I get 5 great skill checks from my other 2 perks, my toolbox fills up and I activate Potential energy so I don't have to totally eat a 50% penalty.

    I would go for a time reduction of the debuff, like 15 secs, so survivors can rotate to the next gen during the penalty.

    This perk is wild strong with Hyper focus stake out, and with streetwise's rework you're gonna have a scavenged toolbox with 80 percent charges (imagine if you find a commodius) but its a what if lol

    of course that leaves you without chase perks, but it's a good payoff. I do think it should be more enticing as a solo perk however… maybe they could make it work with other items too?
