Existing maps need to be smaller
About 70% of the maps are big or down right huge, making them quite a hassle traverse for both sides. Making the maps smaller would over all be a healthier as it encourages interactions with The Killer and Survivors

Likewise, a few maps that have been made smaller also need to be bigger. Lampkin Lane in particular is oppressively small, and so are a fair few of the Coldwind Farm maps.
I think the worst candidates for being too large are Greenville Theatre & the Autohaven Wreckers maps.

You would hate to see the old ones.
Swamp, Red Forest maps, Haddonfield, Shattered Square, Eyrie, all of them were shrunk in the past.
I would argue we have more of an opposite problem, maps like Forgotten Ruins, new Haddonfield, Midwich kind of, ect. are too small.

The problem is some killers with mobility make the map zone control very easy.

Okay so the problem is with maps when i play michael i generally get left with avg of 2 to 3 gens before i wipe survivors on small maps like haddonfield
But large maps its really sweaty gameplay because it comes down to 3 survivors left (all on 2nd hook state) with me down to 1 gen and patrol the 3 gen zones.
I think something needs to be done to prevent that missmatch to happen because its clearly obvious m1 killers are actually viable in smaller maps and indoor while in large they get fully rushed and outplayed by spreading out.
So bringing each element closer together to balance it out.

As others have said maps used to be much bigger. The issue with maps in general is the huge gap between mobility among the killers, more so than map size these days.
Also further shrinking then adds in other issues, such as gens often being shoved to close, totems having less spawn possibilities, and many killers belongings also being put in too close as well.
