Even if it should be base kit, which I agree with, destroying totems is a no-go bcuz Pentimento exists. Even if no one uses it. The aura reveal is nice but means nothing since dull totems are ultimately for Survivors now.
I know Plaything and NOED are things, but you need a dull totem. Since there are a finite amount depending on what the Survivors do, there's needs to be more incentive to not waste time unproductively.
Shattered Hope should snuff the totem and block it for both Killer and Survivor for the rest of the trial. Any Killer perk that lights totems do not light blocked totems.
I do not like boon perks full disclosure. I feel like they just use time. It does not waste time of all Survivors are still alive, but it works towards nothing other annoying me as a Killer. I have to hear a bless every time. Of I happen to be near and hear it, I'll snuff it. 2-30 seconds later I hear another bless. It's the only thing Survivors running those perks think about. Regardless of what it does, it's frustrating to realize that Survivors are wasting time freely or unproductively and no one's been killed or sacrificed. Maybe I'm terrible but there are four Survivors and (at least) one of them is, for 14 seconds at a time, doing very little towards escape they should have to find another totem. They have the time. They have enough time to do an Invocation but because it's in the basement and breaks you, it's throwing. So is running four boons to stack on a totem. At least max it at three boon perks so they have to run DH.
Snuffing and blessing should only give bloodpoints the first time per totem. As a Killer player, I don't like this but will bite the bullet if Survivors can't mooch off playing indirect Tag with the Killer. Regular Tag is a chase.
Decrease the number of totems to 4 but keep the max number of spawn locations so both sides waste time checking all of them. That, or a totem in every place one can spawn.
(Don't do that. They'll become as bad as Lockers.)
In my opinion, Boons trade nothing for something. 14 seconds is not long. 28 seconds is barely better unless Retribution or Haunting Grounds is in play. Exit Gates take 20 for comparison.
I simply don't want Survivors to be rewarded and Killer to be punished bcuz Survivors can waste time. Boons are helpful, but if found take even longer to keep in play. That should cost something other than one Survivor's time. It should complicate things. Snuffing totems are as much of a derail as reloading at Lockers. Both present side objectives to do other than main objectives. I don't care about losing as Killer.
I care about not wasting my time.
