Game feels a bit strange for me right now.
The TWD chapter changed quite a bit.

I get its not a game breaking bug or anything but it is a bug none the less. Surely the fact that something like the loading screen but is so obvious and in theory is such a simple fix as likely just an image file in the wrong place it would have been fixed when the devs play tested their game…They do playtest their own game right?

It could've possibly only appeared during some last minute asset packing when they were getting ready to deploy to Steam, is my only guess, so its possible the QA testers didn't have it showing on their builds.
