DBD Item System Overhaul – Simplified and Balanced

This item rework follows the recent patch trend of reducing the number of add-ons for items like the Map, Key, and Fog Vials.
It simplifies the add-ons of older survivor items to match this new direction.



🔧 General Item and Gameplay Balance Changes

Current Status:

  • Total Items: 24
  • Total Add-ons: 30

📌 Standardization:

  • All items now follow 4 tiers of rarity: Brown, Green, Blue, and Purple.
  • Item effectiveness by rarity follows a ratio of 3 : 4 : 5 : 6.
  • Each item now has only 5 add-ons, one per rarity level.
  • All add-ons that increase item durability are now subject to a maximum durability cap.

1. Med-Kit

  • All Med-Kits now grant +50% healing speed to others
  • Healing Skill Check success rate bonus: +12.5% per second
  • Max durability cap: 48

    Items are fine as they are imo, Addons just need a rework, to make them more interesting.
