Is there any hope for a removal/option to change the awful dream filter when playing Freddy?

I really enjoy the character himself, but by far my least favorite part is the awful filter. It makes every map so washed-out and lifeless. The audio parts are whatever, but the visuals really suck, and the garbage around the edges of the screen can get severely eye-straining.

On a more broad note, how about a toggle option for all of this awful border-screen effects that the game gives to you? I'm talking being fully infected against Plague or Wesker, being contaminated by Nemesis, tormented by PHead, the horrid effect on Trickster while Main Event is ready, etc. Having an option to disable these vfx would go a long way towards better accessibility in general.
