Will Spirit’s audio bubble ever be adjusted for increased FOV? (Accessibility concern)
Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding Spirit and the interaction between her audio bubble and Field of View (FOV) settings.
Currently, players can increase their FOV up to 103, which can help not only with general awareness but also with accessibility, especially for players who struggle with motion sickness or tunnel vision. However, this becomes a problem when playing Spirit.
As some of you may know, Spirit’s audio is tied to a bubble around her character model, and when you increase your FOV, that audio bubble doesn’t scale accordingly. This causes audio cues to become inconsistent or harder to interpret, making it very difficult to track survivors effectively with an increased FOV.
This effectively punishes Spirit players who want to play with a wider FOV for accessibility reasons. It feels like the FOV setting is not fully supported on Spirit, since the core gameplay mechanic (her audio-based tracking) becomes less reliable.
So my question is:
Will there ever be an adjustment to Spirit’s audio to make it scale correctly with higher FOV settings?
I’d love to see more accessibility parity between killers, and right now Spirit feels like an exception in a way that negatively impacts the experience.
Thanks for reading, and I’d love to hear if others have experienced the same issue.
