The grimoire angelic killer concept idea

Hi all

Had some cool concept ideas for the choose your own chapter, maybe bhvr can use for inspiration if they want if i sounds plausible/ good and if anybody else finds it interesting.

Anyway, this concept is a bit of a mix between the deception and torment attributes from the grimoire selection so maybe it can fit in.

Killer passives

The Killer's main body has unique interactions with Survivors:

 * Blinded and blindness Effect:

   * When a Survivor without the blindness status effect looks at the Killer's main body, they are blinded for 1.5-3 seconds.

   * They then gain the Blindness status effect until they are possessed, injured, or or maybe after a duration of about 90/120 seconds idk.

 * Hindered Effect:

   * While under the Blindness status effect, looking at the Killer's main body again doesn't trigger another blinded but applies a 5-10% Hindered status effect, but only when looking at the main body.

Killer Power

The Killer's power, revolves around marking and possessing Survivors by implanting forbidden knowledge in their mind, unawares by the afflicted survivor.

 * Mark for Possession:

   * By looking at a Survivor with the ability active, the Killer applies a Possession Mark.

   * There are no audio cues or movement penalties applying a mark to survivors, making the initial mark imperceptible to them, making survivors have to guess who has been marked.

   * Only one Survivor can be marked at a time. Applying a new mark removes the previous one.

Triggering Possession

   * Once a Survivor is marked, possession takes 10-15 seconds until a survivor can be possessed.

   * Upon activation, the Killer triggers the implanted forbidden knowledge and their perception shifts to the possessed Survivor, and their main body goes inactive (similar to The Twins).

    *Survivors who are possessed visually transform into an "angelic abomination" and enter a "struggle phase" to break free from possession.

 *While Possessing a Survivor

When possessing a Survivor, the Killer gains unique abilities and limitations:

* Movement Control:

   * The Killer has full control over the possessed Survivor's movement.

 * Offensive Capability:

   * The Killer can perform basic attacks, removing one health state per hit from each Survivor (or just make it a normal m1 killer idk).

   * The Killer can still pick up and hook downed Survivors while in possession, pausing the possessed Survivor's struggle phase.

   * After hooking a survivor possession immediately ends.

Main Body Interactions

 * Killer Instinct:

   * When controlling a possessed Survivor, any other survivor looking at the Killer's main body reveals their aura via Killer Instinct. This encourages strategic positioning of the main body for information gathering.

   * The other main body passives are still active while possessing another survivor. (Can still be blinded, receive blindness status and hindered when looking.)

The 'Tells'

To add a layer of deception and create tension among Survivors, "Tells" are introduced:

 * Subtle Visual Cues:

   * Possessed or marked Survivors exhibit short, slight, barely noticeable randomized visual "tells" (e.g., hand twitching, foot twitching, a brief glitchy effect).

   * These tells trigger intermittently, perhaps every 15 seconds, and ramp up in larger ways over time (e.g., a brief head 180-degree turn, a leg glitch/spasm, after a long duration of having a mark).

 * Impact on Survivors:

   * The marked/possessed Survivor does not visually perceive these tells themselves.

   * Only other Survivors perceive these tells on their teammates.

Potential Mechanic?

Possessing Downed Survivors

 * Can the Killer possess downed Survivors if they are already marked?

   * This is a potential addition to consider. If implemented, perhaps the Killer heals 1 or 2 health states on the downed survivor when doing so, in exchange for the possession? 

This would make survivors think twice about going for a pick up while also adding some benefit for the downed survivor if they happen to be possessed.

Addons

 * Don't have many ideas on addons, maybe for balancing do addons with a 'give and take' function? As an example maybe instead of applying hindered on looking at the main body its exhausted instead? Idk.

Other thoughts

I think adding ways to get rid of the killer effects like with pig or sadaco for this killer concept in particular is a bit boring for both sides and just turning it into a "time waste" ability.

So hopefully it can be balanced to avoid that outcome.

Probably one of the bigger hurdles with this is swf squads. Imposter killer definitely wouldn't work in this game, but since the possession mark is the actual player and not just a duplicate clone hopefully it gets around that issue.

The make or break with swf will probably be the 'tells' of a marked survivor, if they're not subtle enough initially.

Maybe even if this gets read by bhvr they'll throw it in the too hard basked idk.

The duration possession lasts is up for debate for tweaking/balancing reasons.

Possession transformation should probs be 1-2 seconds, maybe make it so the killer can move them during the transformation time at reduced speed to potentially block pallets or vaults until the transformation is complete and they are able to basic attack?

The ability to temporarily remove one survivor from the game and then chase another might be a bit strong but hopefully it can be balanced around.

Oh and as for how the lore fits with the killer powers, the idea was that the possession mark injects knowledge into the survivors minds (like a zip bomb) and then unpackaged remotely to trigger the transformation from understanding the forbidden Knowledge.

And yeah thats about it, fell free to leave ideas or oversights I probably had ;P
