Upcoming Chapter Should be Delayed Until March
Title, the game has been in a VERY poor state recently and quite honestly they NEED to take time to fix things. March is a unique time in the games history where we're getting a chapter with no killer. Considering the state of the game at this time this is a perfect opportunity to ACTUALLY see change, and not to be brushed off.
Apologies can only go so far, we NEED action

march is a bit of a stretch. maybe december or end of november to give them a good 2-3 months of bug fixing. delaying until march would i hate to say would probably kill the game.

They won't do it because the March chapter is going to be used to sell the Trickster rework, as they've hinted at multiple times. The September chapter should be completely cancelled and the team should use the time to adjust the game to a playable state.

No it wouldn't because it wouldn't have an effect on the November chapter. Delaying the upcoming one to actually fix the game for whart is probably gonna be another big license is necessary at this point

They would never do that. The money flow is too high up on the list, whether they could comfortably take the hit or not.

ohhh mb. i lowkey read your post as delaying all content until march

They wouldn't, but if we as a community can actually push them to take action before they dig themselves in a bigger hole maybe we can actually see change.
We just got 2 REALLY big licenses, FNaF being the most anticipated license in the games history which had a rough launch and TWD is almost on par with Resident Evil. The next licensed chapter in November is set to have 2 new Survivors and a new killer, which is usually reserved for big ones.
If this next one also has a rough launch, you gotta remember we wont be getting another killer for another 6 months. That's 6 months of leaving a sour taste in our mouth in addition to killers who still need to be looked at.

I agree with this but we all know they won't just completely scrap a chapter that they've spent several months on. Its a lot more realistic to push something back so they can still sell it in the end (and lets be real, it would probably be in a way more polished state)

Logically it makes absolute sense, I agree. But you have to consider the history here. How far the game has declined over time and what it's taken for real changes to take place and what those changes have looked like.

Boy, I hope that November chapter is Stranger Things 2.
Might actually get me interested again.

Id say its not completely off the table, but Id rather not speculate for... reasons...
(if you know you know)

I, of course, am not a knower.
The only thing I'd be genuinely disappointed in is another RE crossover.
Other than Mr. X, who'd be too similar to Nemesis, I dont think any other villain would translate well. They also used Birkin as a Legendary.

without dbd 2 I don't think any amount of time off will matter. the issues are all hard baked in

I think a lot of the issues come from the engine update. To put it simply they had to transplant all the code to a new engine, so if it worked well enough before hopefully the actual code causing the issue should be fixed rather soon. It's possible this wouldn't be necessary, but in the case that the issues are actually a massive coding error (and not just a discrepancy between the engine versions) then I'd 100% suggest sacrificing a chapter. New content cannot be profitable if it does not work, as much as I like houndmaster, this is why she's unpopular.
EDIT: forgot to clarify that I meant recent issues in the first sentence.

I'd easily become a Hopper main. And if the Killer wants to play games, I can tell them what they can Hop on. 😍

From their perspective, why would BHVR do anything differently? Despite the recent PR blunders and years of what I consider very poor relations with the community, the player count is near all-time highs which probably also means revenue being near all-time highs. They’re not going to change anything unless people start leaving the game in large numbers and that hasn’t happened yet.

It would have to take bleeding licenses and not retaining new ones. I don't think anything else would cause it.

I guess I'm used to all the bad crap in the game. I take a break when there's nothing to do in the game and come back for new content or to finish a grind. I don't mind the pace of releases, bugs and all. I definitely do not want them to delay a release to March. I don't even know when the next scheduled release is, but I'm already done with Walking Dead. Now if they delayed a release to push out a crazy amount of content.. like new map, new killer and survivor, new mechanics, a new quest system.. maybe even a crafting system to create items/addons with drops in the game. Ok, delay it. But I don't want them to do it just for bugs.

Nope I wanna content otherwise game is boring

I don't know…
Jack Krauser could be decent (although he'd also do a very good Legion skin, even if it would be wasted potential).
While Deborah isn't popular enough to justify a full Killer, she could make a popular (although not necessarily for the actual quality of the skin) skin for Hag or Spirit.
I honestly believe the Tyrant from RE1 could have potential as a full Killer.
Lady D and Mother Miranda (potential Plague skins also, although they are by far the ones I think are the least likely).
There's still some potential, but the best ones have already been used, I agree.

RE9 will probably change some of that. It'll give more pull for an Ethan/Rose duo.

Yeah, but that game isn't even coming out til February '26.

True, true. 😔

I agree they need to stop releasing new content. Lets do fixes, perk changes, and mix ups. We have to much content as it is. Im tired of new killers every 3 months

this is one of the craziest things I’ve ever read regarding a gane

The timeframe sure but what he is saying makes since. We dont need new content. We need changes. Why do they have to release a new killer with new perks so quickly? We hardly see half the roster as it is.
the game needs changes. I like the idea of changing perks around every so often to change the meta up. Thats what makes the game fun.

Well, considering that the final ST season is due to release in November, I would not completely brush it off.
Plausible I'd say.0 -
Preach.

I don't even remotely trust they would do that. They pushed messed up Twins that are not fixed for 5 years in horrible state where they are not played at all. Same happened multiple times and despite that they always pushed things. Surely they need the sells to pay the employees but if the employees are so bad that they can't fix the game then they should be fired. DBD is truly not that difficult game compared to others that have similiar amount of people working on them and working with minimum or no bugs while being much more difficult to maintain.

I would literally pay for a "contentless" chapter that just focuses on bug fixes and balance changes.

Unless they do a full code rewrite, no amount of delaying is gonna change anything in the long run.
