Since you guaranteed Survivor spawn together.

Why not guarantee Exit Gates spawn as far away as possible? 😀

That would guarantee the last survivor escapes. You want every match to end in survivors ratting for the free escape, letting their teammates die on first hook?

Every match would end in a 3k.

Survivors spawning together was a change in killer favor. You now can pinpoint their spawn location rather than guess multiple of them. Survivors have to spread further to work on multiple gens as rushing close gens would hurt them massively in late game. You now defienetly lose 1-2 gens faster than you used to but overall gen progress is not as spread as it used to be. It's more of people running the same meta (pain res, corrupt, dms, surge) and stalling the most repaired gens to the moment where everyone was dead while there were multiple gens with high progress, now it's more of particular gens have high progress. So there is no way to think that new spawn favors survivors in any way.

the last surv escaping isnt going to harm anyone, killer still wins with a 3k. its why everyone thinks ppl who slug for the 4k are massive losers xd

I didn’t realize this was a permanent change since I took a break from the game — I thought you had to use an offering to spawn players near each other, but in all my recent matches it seems to happen automatically.

I don’t necessarily think exit gates need to be as far apart as possible, but I do agree with another poster that there should be a minimum distance between them. On some maps, if the gates end up on the same side, you can literally see both from a middle point, which negatively affects game balance.

Since survivors will spawn next to each other, one way to help balance this could be to spawn them near the closest three generators. This would prevent clustering at a corner generator and reduce the likelihood of a killer easily forcing an escape or getting all four kills, while still keeping survivors together.

No, the issue is teams will stop playing as a team and give up early so they can get the better chance at the gate. The problem of 3ks every match means the kill rate goes up. A LOT. Like, sole survivor in every match and "sole survivor" solo que teammates throwing for that escape. This is an unhealthy change

Game balance in an asymmetrical title is not a seesaw. That's like saying killers should have gotten a buff for the extra 10s on hook awhile back

Lethal Pursuer was annoying before but now I really can't stand it. As far as exit gates go, I don't even know how they'd balance it. Maps like Auto Haven typically have them pretty far apart, while maps like Midwich are unfair against half of the Killer roster at this point.

I honestly haven’t seen that happen in almost any of my matches. Whether I’m playing in a full group, in duos, or with randoms, most survivors I run into still try to get as many people out as possible.

I’ve seen plenty of pugs wait at the gate or even take a hit to help someone in chase. From my experience, the bigger factor in people not helping is when both exit gates spawn on the same side. That setup makes it much easier for the killer to control the endgame, which can discourage survivors from leaving the gate area to help a teammate.

So while I understand the concern about people giving up early, I think the gate placement itself can heavily influence whether players take those risks to help teammates.

So killer can hook survivor in mid (that usually happens more often then corner down) and make rescue in endgame 10 times harder? I’m not sure it's good decision, just because u want second hatch.

Speaking of spawns, what the heck do the shroud of unions even do seeing as survivors all spawn together anyway?
