Is it wrong for me to tunnel someone if I’m at 2 gens left??

Even in comp, I'm pretty sure camping and tunnelling is also the norm; even with heavy restrictions on both sides to make it as skill oriented as possible. It's the norm though because killers literally know what they are going to face (if we're talking DBDLeague). OTR is never allowed, unhooking from the AFC is never allowed, Babysitter and Reassurance are never allowed, and DS is only occasionally allowed. Their restrictions on tunneling are all on the survivor basically making it the guaranteed killer strategy.

Your choice, really.

Just do it, people that want to tell you otherwise simply want you to follow some weird moral that doesn't make a lot of sense. I personally tunnel when I get the chance to, no matter if we're at 4 or 1 gen(s) - there simply is not a reason to hold yourself from tunneling except your own moral.
In my case it is that I mostly don't force tunnel outs because they are really annoying after a while, but I'll almost always take what survivors give - so I'll tunnel if I see this person by chance, but I won't leave everyone alone just for that purpose.

I get what the person’s point is… but here’s the thing: if you camp at 5 gens, even if we assume some crazy fast early down instead of just an average first chase, the killer usually still loses 2–3 gens as long as the survivor team plays the hook timer correctly and doesn’t rush in for insta-unhooks.
It’s literally the most boring way to play a match, like you already said. Once a killer decides to camp at 5 gens, it’s basically an easy win for the survivor team, especially if they split up. The killer is just choosing the dullest strategy — one that straight up loses against efficient survivors.
(Sometimes the situations just play out where the first chase ends up right in the zone where the survivors’ gens are, and for the killer it makes sense to proxy-camp that area. But if literally all the gens survivors are pushing are right there, then the whole “split up” thing was messed up.)
camping at 5 gens isn’t some strategy where the killer just auto-wins the match.

idk what to say man

Have you ever heard of survivors not doing gens until your first hook? Do you think they swap gens unless you force them to?
Just hunt thm as you want. You're free to chose who to chase.

I'd def separate camping and tunneling. Hard tunnel into an early 3v1 is still one of the strongest tools in most games, while camping is weaker and way more situational.
and.. what kind of "the killer is camping" situation are you even talking about here?
Like, are we talking about an overwhelmed new killer who just decides to "just camp now" because they want to secure one kill (which is usually super easy to punish and gets turned into a survivor win through genspeed anyway)?
Or are we talking about any situation where the killer is actively playing the hook area in that 10–20 meter range and using it as zone control?
Proxying only works if survivors make it worth. If they all rush gens next to each other, take a chase that ends near those gens and hand me a hook in the middle, I’d be stupid not to pressure hook + gens + team at the same time. That’s not “camping,” that’s just capitalizing on survivor mistakes.
They could be on a Coldwind map which has basically 0 resources, you could be playing a busted killer, anything can happen. Gens take 90 seconds—that’s almost two minutes—without any slowdown in play.
And uhm… , the whole “someone dies at 5 gens” thing is pretty situational (and for smart/good players super rare). Coldwind (some variants and certain possible RNG) can be a total disaster for Survivors, yes, but even if you’re playing something like Lethal Billy/Blight, good players know what map they’re on and that this perk exists, and they’ll try to counterplay instantly and position themselves smartly at the start of the match. Even on terrible maps, good players usually won’t give you those crazy fast downs unless they’re really, really, really unlucky with spawn and RNG. (And against a lot of weaker killers with no one shot people will often be ready to bodyblock if someone ends up in a dead zone on Coldwind.)
… of course there are those super unlucky exceptions. But in general, as soon as the killer gets that crazy fast down… if the Survivors then push gens instead of rushing an insta-unhook, and theyuse th hook phase (and trade if needed right before phase change), gens usually get done if the killer is “just camping” at the start of the match.
Sure..
Proxy camping can sometimes be worth it depending on hook position, but straight-up camping? If the Survivors play smart, the killer usually loses out. Especially if he had super early pressure and a fast down but then just camps… at that point there are at least 2–3 gens flying that he could be contesting. Even with the super quick down, camping in that situation isn’t smart.
(except when the 'relevant' gens are inside the radius of that early-game escalation - misplay @surv side)
Putting pressure on the rest of the team while the first person hooked, but still being in position for a direct tunnel, is still one of the strongest strats. That’s why I wouldn’t put camping = tunneling on the same level..
Even if you get a down at 5 gens, you usually lose gens if you decide camping is ‘the way to go strategy.’ The killer is basically throwing away a ton of potential early pressure just by sitting there… patrolling the area and being ready to come back for a straight tunnel is way stronger.
So yup, if the killer "just camps" and the survivors don’t turn that into a huge disadvantage for him, then they’ve basically messed up their early game start.
by double hooking everyone
edit: can’t DM you, so asking off-topic here. Had a long chat about this before… got any POV on those double-hooking-everyone matches? Would be super interested

Your job as the killer is to kill the survivors, don’t worry about how your opponents will feel about your playstyle.

Relax dude, I was just trying to use some fancy English there, didn't even know that was the principle behind a philosophical and spiritual system. Guess you learn something everyday.
Regardless, I wouldn't consider that bullying someone as there is no ill intent. You're just trying to win a game. I guess if you are targeting the same player across multiple games on purpose then it could be considered bullying, but that's already a bannable offense.

its never 'wrong' to tunnel. you choose to do it or not based on the state of the match, or in the spirit of fairness. its true however that a fast sac eases much of the pressure for killer.

depends
if the gens be flying then go for it but if its 1 gen a minute then full send brother/sister but as a killer main myself I don't enjoy it so I just don't do it as it just feels too easy

Exactly. I tunnel a lot. 4–5 gens? Hand me a 3v1, I’ll take it. Tunneling isn’t toxic—it’s efficiency. Mercy’s optional. Pressure isn’t.
I try to control the game. I maximize every advantage. I make the team feel the heat. That’s my job as a Killer.

amazing isnt it? They'll find every angle to demonize being an efficient killer. "You ruin everyones fun, this is just a casual game, you dont have to sweat, you have to give us a chance to win!' all that garbage.

Many survivor rule book enjoyers will tell you you should do better or you are bad if you tunnel (both skill and personality).
Depends how many are alive (sory I didnt read the whole post) all that depends its state of your game or your goal like two last are there one will be dead and other will be on first hook but you want the game to end sooner so you tunnel the hooked one out (he was on second hook) and then move for hatch endgame. Other situation you hook all survivors quite equally and you are on two last gens with four of them being still alive you know they will do one gen in next like 30 seconds and other is probably being repaired now, you want to get at least 2k because you didnt played supper bad just they were efficient on gens then you sshould tunnel one out (the weaker one or in the worst part on the map where isnt much safety) and then focus on others.
Tunneling is just same as genrushing its easiest strategy for killer thats just you forget about protecting all gens and chasing 4 survivors and just focus all your attention on one survivor to get him asap from the game and make your chance better to get more kills thats it its not skill issue (or you call all comp players bad? they all tunnel first thing they do in comp in like 90% of matches) its just lazy and effective strategy that works pretty well, you can get some bodyblocks that can turn in slugs pulling other survivors from gens slowing the game down more while getting one guy out much faster, nothing to be ashamed of every good player did this at some point.

If the roles were switched would you be annoyed you got tunnelled, yeah sure. But also neither side is under any obligation to consider the other's feelings, especially when the goal of a match is to win (escape or kill everyone).
