Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

More consistency or a central news point

I’d really appreciate it if announcements could be more consistent across all platforms, or if there were a central news page on the website that updates at the same time as social media posts.

I use Bluesky, the forums, and occasionally YouTube to stay informed. Without the forums, I feel like I’d miss a lot of news, since updates seem to focus mostly on Twitter. It would be great if all platforms got the same updates so everyone stays in the loop, no matter where they follow you. Better yet use your website so people don't have the need to join a platform just to see important updates and news.

It's also, like, just straight up a terrible place to be. They should really move their main presence elsewhere.

They make posts on the twitter that they don't mirror to the Bluesky account. It's real annoying. Their official website is also terribly optimised, and barely updated.

Twitter, Facebook, Bluesky, Instagram, all of those are terrible platforms to force players to rely on. And yeah, DbD's website is also a huge pain in the ass. If they would redesign their website to be reasonable and use it as their news feed which they then mirror/link to from their social media accounts, that would be better. There should be a central hub and social media accounts are like convenient RSS feeds for people who already use the platform, but no social media account should have an exclusive post, especially if it can't be seen by non-users.

    May I suggest: https://bsky.app/profile/deadbydaylight.com

Even tho BHVR was LATE with the latest update on Bluesky, you can atleast see it when not logged in.

If BHVR can promise to be ontop of Bluesky updates then you can have your wish.

Yes, I use Bluesky and this is where my frustration comes from. The post are either delayed and not put up at all. I often put up the social media posts for the company I work for. Granted, we are much smaller than BHVR but it's not all that hard to organize posts to go out at the same time.

Overall I think they need a more centralized system for all their news, updates and information that they want to share.

To me, this goes beyond just a presence on social media. BHVR has never been very great at getting information out there and they rely a lot on FOMO. I'm pretty sure all of us have missed a code that was only active for 24-48 hours. There's content over the years I would've missed entirely without word of mouth as well.

I imagine they post primarily to Twitter because it's more used still than any other platform.

I don´t use social media at all.

    This forum and Youtube.

Especially these community challenges and the Codes should be announced somewhere here too. Or in the game inbox.
