Poor Optimization on Xbox Series, as far I know

I really wanted to enjoy Dead by Daylight on Xbox Series, but the optimization is seriously disappointing. This isn’t about lag, ping, or online connection issues — the problem is with the game itself. Everything takes an absurd amount of time to load.

When my brother invited me to play, the invite didn’t even appear on screen until nearly five minutes later. Switching between tabs like Survivor or Killer feels painfully slow, and even accessing the game files just to get into the main menu takes way too long.

For a game that’s been around for years, it’s shocking how unpolished it still feels on console. The gameplay itself can be fun, but the constant waiting and sluggish performance make the whole experience frustrating. Honestly, the optimization on Xbox Series makes it hard to recommend this game at all.

Can anyone say how goes Pc? It's take forever too?

Switching between menu tabs in this game is ridiculously taxing for some reason, at least in my experience on a lower end PC. Simple things such as equipping or unequipping perks too quickly drops me 30 frames. It's absurd.

I can run way more visually impressive games (like Outlast Trials), at stable framerates of 60 or 90 FPS (depending on graphics settings) but DbD runs terribly regardless of graphics. Even with everything at its lowest, DbD still has constant FPS drops and stutters. Every few updates I have to cap my framerate to something lower because the game just seems to run worse.

I used to play uncapped and get around 100 FPS, then I needed to start capping it to 90 FPS because the gameplay became choppy. And then several updates later, I could no longer reach 90 consistently and now I have to play capped at 60.

The load times aren't a problem for me, but the general performance of the game is. It's choppy these days and navigating the menus is very sluggish. Which is absurd for a game that released in 2016, and still very much looks like a 2016 game. There's nothing visually impressive going on here, so why it runs so bad is beyond me.

Wow... Is worst then I thought, it's like you said, every other game that is way more heavy in terms of everything go really smooth, like FF16 at 60 on series X, fast loads, then we see... DbD, it's really strange see it in those conditions after so many years.

I still use a GTX 970 and an i5, money is tight.

I would like to see a "very low" graphics option, one with very bad shadows

and I would also like to see BHVR take a look at how textures are loaded into memory based on distance, cause I swear If I get a skillcheck while the Killer is crossing that threshold, I wont be able to hit it.
