2v8
2v8 should be an all around game mode. It's so fun and fast paced really keeps the game going. If you wanna squad up with your homies go to the OG but 2v8 man. Awesome. Add a 2v8 leveling system and keep it all the time

Unfortunately, its effectively ruining the queue time for people who dont enjoy 2v8.
Which is why I hope they add it to Custom Games. We cant have the queue be ruined for normal mode players all the time and well I think its fine to have it as a mode that comes by once in a while.

2v8 is completely fine every three month like now.
Just not permanent .

2v8 should be every weekend (Friday-Sunday)

Would be too much in my opinion.
But we will see what the future brings…

LOL no. It's fine being an event every few months (even thats too much). It should never be more frequent or permament. The mdoe is horrible, boring and ruins the game whenever its active.

I get why people want 2v8 permanent — when it works, it is fun and chaotic. But right now, the reason it feels “ruined” for so many is because 2v8 is basically just the base game’s flaws magnified.
- Queue times: permanent 2v8 would absolutely destroy 1v4 matchmaking, because everyone wants to be on the “killer side of chaos.”
- Killer roster: people joke about Legion + Oni for a reason. Those powers were designed for 1v4, not a 10-player mode, and in 2v8 they go from “annoying” to “soul-draining.” It’s not fun for anyone.
- Design clutter: instead of building 2v8 as its own horror-anthology mode with unique maps, classes, and mechanics, BHVR just duct-taped the existing game together. That’s why it feels repetitive so quickly — you’re not playing a new mode, you’re just playing a bigger, buggier version of DbD.
If BHVR ever does want to make 2v8 permanent, they’d need to rebuild it from the ground up: cut killers that don’t fit (Legion being Exhibit A), add real survivor variety (more than just 4 shallow classes), and design maps around 10 players instead of bolting on the existing ones. Otherwise it’ll never feel like “chaotic horror,” only “chaotic mess.”
