Why Deep Rift cosmetics should be brought into the store
I’ve been playing Dead By Daylight almost everyday for 6 months now, and I’ve been a life long Castlevania fan. Unfortunately, I missed out on the Deep Rift versions of Soma and Dracula’s True Form, and in my opinion, you shouldn’t gatekeep these cosmetics from new players for a few reasons
One, most people on Reddit and X seem to agree that they should return in one way or another, if the intended purpose was to give something to flex, and most people wouldn’t mind them returning, why not bring them back?
Another reason, think of the money. I’ve seen the many people that want a certain Mikaela skin to be brought into the store, and I’m sure if you introduced the Deep Rift cosmetics into the store, I’m sure many people them.
I know there’s many licensed Deep Rift variants, while I don’t know much about licensing and negotiations, I’m sure that since the base versions have returned to the stores, license holders would allow Deep Rift variants to return as well.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope that this topic is in discussions. P.S. Please don’t cook me in the comments 🙏🏻

I used to be against deep rift cosmetics returning but I don’t care if they were brought back for people that missed out.

they promised it wouldn't come back, just like Legacy. Bringing the regular outfits back is incredibly fair and generous.

Why shouldn’t they? Theres been a massive influx of players because of Tokyo Ghoul and FNaF, and there’s over 50 outfits that are being gatekept because of some FOMO bs. I’ll use Helldivers as an example, Warbonds and store items are always available, so there’s no FOMO, and the Devs have stated they’d bring back the pre order armors so everyone has a chance to enjoy them.

I've never cared for the idea of exclusives. Especially for something as passive as earning Prestige or grinding the Rift. Both of those are very public as well and not necessarily tied to anything super memorable. Without a trading system, status items feel pretty hollow as well. I think every cosmetic should be available after a certain time frame, with the exclusivity being limited to the time before that.

If you want them, you can pay and play like everyone else does. Thats our reward for committing to the game, not just some iri shard free handout that just anyone can buy anytime.

I think behviour has been clear that they don't intend on ever bringing the deeprift varients to the store, and whilst I don't particularly care on whether or not they are exclusive I wouldn't say this isn't the norm for most games. I mean fortnite for example has hundreds of skins that are locked behind the "you had to have been there" wall.

on the last AMA they said they were "discussing it", and even Fortnite is starting to sell old battle pass skins in the shop.

I wasn't aware they were discussing it, and for Fortnite, no they are selling ones from recent seasons in the store at a later date so there are plenty of skins that will be permanently vaulted.

ah ok. I thought they were bringing old battle pass skins back.

if they brought them back, people would have to pay full price, and I agree that they shouldn't be purchasable with iri shards. People who originally paid 10 or 20 bucks for all the skins from that rift including the recolors, while new plays would have to spend that same amount on individual skins.

because i paid and grinded for them thank you very much.
