Hello, to all nurse main, i'm a controller Nurse main (since 2018), currently switching on mouse and

So i can't choose my dpi, but i've been testing different sensitivities, the sweet spot seems like 60-80%(currently on 70%) but i may not have enough practice with that ( flicks, moving mouse fast enough etc..).. on controller i used to use like 90-100%, do you think it may be too much on mouse? do you recommend me getting used with that, or may i have more advantages lowering the sensitivity(for better aiming)? ik everything is subjective, but i don't trust my sensations already, because it's been like 13 days and never pratically played anything on m&k..even though i feel already confident enough to play against a sweat squad with mouse and keyboard

I'd recommend you to let it be on 50% like normal and switch your dpi on your mouse to have numbers like 1000 or 2000 dpi as example, it's easier to work with that. (Of course only if your mouse has that option, you'd probably need a driver for your mouse then - chances are pretty good that you can download that if you have a modern gaming mouse. Just google your mouse model and add driver behind that).

I personally play normal killers that don't need me to flick very fast with 2400 dpi, on killers that need that I play 4000.

    Dpi functions like this:

The number of your dpi, as example 2400 means how many pixels your mouse moves in one inch (or roughly 2,5cm) of your mousepad. I have wqhd so in my case I can move my cursor almost from left to right in one inch of mousepad movement (my screen has a width of 2560 pixels, that's why it's just almost). The higher your dpi the less you have to move your mouse for a big turn, but it's also harder to control - 2400 in my case allows me to turn relatively fast but also precise with relatively little movement, so that's perfect for me.

    Almost forgot:

For nurse it honestly doesn't matter much on what dpi you play. A lower dpi is typically good for killers that need precission (so huntress or deathslinger as example), a higher one is typically good for killers that restrict your turnrate and have to turn fast like blight or dracula wolf.

Nurse doesn't have a thight window in which she has to turn or something, you simply need to know where you land and where the survivor is in that situation, as long as you turn quick enough to hit him you can also play with 100 dpi or 8000 xD

So I'd recomment to try different dpi's and see how good you can play with that, as soon as you find a dpi you like you should let it stay like this for a while. You'll get used to that then and much better at controlling it, after that you can choose a second one if you need a get better with that one - this ensures that you have a dpi that you're used to.

(Everything I say here is of course only the way I did that/do this, so choose if you want to take it for granted)

thank you for your answer.. i currently have an old mouse(can't choose and don't know my dpi) maybe i will buy one better, i play on ps5 using mouse and keyboard since they recently added it.. i noticed that with huntress 70% sens in game may be too much.. with nurse day by day i'm not feeling any different playing on 70%.. so dpi, is like the dead zone for controller stick pretty much right? i'd like to try low sens and high dpi on nurse, but for now i have a standard mouse where i can't do anything other than playing around with mouse sens in gambe

70% is probably too much with huntress yes, nurse could work if you get used to it (I don't really now how 70% feels with standart dpi on mouse, I only know it would be too much for me on controller xD).

As far as I know the deadzone is an area of the stick where you don't turn/move, is this right? Then is the awnser no - you constantly turn with a mouse if you move it, there's never a moment where nothing happens.

It's hard to explain…well a controller has a max-turnrate that increases from the middle to the side, right (So middle is nothing and side is 100% turnspeed)? A mouse doesn't have a maximum turnspeed or something, it's basically just a number that says how many pixels you move per inch of you mousepad on a flat surface - if you move your mouse slower you turn slower, if you move it quicker you turn quicker. So you could say that you basically decide how much you want to move your arm with your dpi. Of course that also means it gets harder to be precise the more dpi you have because you move more for less movement, that's why lower dpi is good for huntress and deathslinger - nurse doesn't need that, so you could crank it up quite a bit as long as you can controll it.
