The Knight

As of right now in my own opinion, the knight is the coolest looking killer with the most boring power in the game aside from maybe trapper, he is also quite weak when against survivors that know what they are doing. What i propose is a rework that keeps the guards but makes them more unique.

Order Rework

As of now, the orders are: Patrol, Break Order, and Hunt. These make for a use for each guard, Carnifex for breaking, Jailer for patrol, and Assassin for hunt. However, this limits what the Knight can do, and currently the only difference between the guards is time and speed values. In my vision for a rework, Knights purple guard related add-ons would give unique orders instead of the minor buffs they do now, additionally, I would like to se a sort of quick order system, for example: if a pallet is dropped and you have carnifex cycled instead of summoning carnifex to patrol it instead instantly summons him to break the pallet with a one second period where the knight performs his summoning animation without having to back up first, as this wastes time. of course i dont mean to delete having to make patrol paths or giving orders, instead I seek to make summoning simply smoother.

The Assassin

The Assassin currently is the best for chase as he is the fastest, but as said earlier, if a survivor knows what they are doing even the fastest of the guards can be easily countered with one window or pallet. What i propose as a solution is make the assassin more sneaky and agile, as an assassin should be. Imagine being in chase and you vault a window, then when you look back you see the Assassin jump through the window instead of the standard phasing through it. Also, imagine simply walking to the next gen just to be injured by assassin who is hiding in a locker waiting to ambush any unlucky survivors, this of course would be done by ordering assassin onto a locker, and to make it a bit more balanced the grab would only happen if a survivor is within 2 metres of a locker, if any father within a 6 meter radius from the lockers entrance a hunt would start instead. This not only spices up Knights gameplay and counterplay, but also brings back some elements of horror from what DBD once was. Given these proposed changes I imagine a survivor can stun the assassin with pallets seeing as he seems a bit weaker than the other guards. As for the add-on, Healing Poultice, I imagine it giving assassin the ability to perform the above mentioned special order of ambushing.

The Jailer

Currently, the jailer is the best for patroling, as he has the longest patrol time and spotting range. What i seek to do with jailer is make him do what his name suggests he does, jail. I imagine the jailer being able to be ordered onto a hook to bring downed survivors to hooks for you so you can resume a chase or kick gens. As for his chase ability, I imagine him being able to block off windows and pallets he phases through with red hot chains, of course with only one of each type being able to be blocked at a time. Additionally, i feel like his branding iron could have more of an effect than just injuring, like giving aura read or killer instinct for 5 seconds.

The Carnifex

The carnifex's current only use is to break pallets and doors, as when you use him to damage a generator it does not activate any gen related perks you may have, and he is by far the worst in chase given his short hunt time and low speed. What i seek to change about the carnifex is with his weapon and raw strength, Carnifex's on hit effect should be an insta down, now before you call me an entitled killer main, think about it, why wouldnt a large axe swinging down from a man strong enough to break pallets in one swing also break survivors down in one swing. I imagine this would be balanced as if you get caught by carnifex in a hunt it is your fault anyways. As for carnifex's special order, I imagine it being a sort of body guard order, where you can special order carnifex by summoning him within 5 meters of a downed survivor to escort you for 20 seconds while in a 15 meter range of a hook, he would start a hunt with anyone that gets within 10 meters of you or stuns you during this time, and to prevent it from being too overpowered once you hook a survivor with the bodyguard order active carnifex dissapears.

As of now that'

s the best things i can think of to improve knight and make him more fun to both play as and against.

Sidenotes

I would really like to see more horror elements added, like when you get caught by a guard you get a jumpscare animation that changes if they injure you or down you or when assassin ambushes you, you get a jumpscare animation if they are within range to grab and not just start a hunt.
