The upcmong patch will discourage people working as a team even more

DbD is a team game for survivors
When I started in DbD in 2019 there was no basekit BT, hud info, hook grabs were still a thing.
Yet majoirty of games everyone did their part, helped each other and made smart descions.I have gone back to my old streams an it's night and day how different players are.
Selfish or dumb players were kind of a rarity back then.
Fast forward an you'll find many selfish players or players that make the worst plays imaginable. So many free escapes for the entire team can be thrown out the window by an awful save or someone failing to take a simple body block.

And with each patch that adds more hand holding your average team mate seems to get worse. Why help your team mate ever when more an more things are being added to make you self sufficient

One of the best feelings in dbd is if you get tunneled the whole game or someone else does an you all work together as team to hammer the gens an help etc an still everyone gets out now one of those best feelings of working together is going to get scrubbed out. Getting a flashlight save or a flashbang save or jumping in for a body block last second to save someone being tunnelled an they escape is such a good feeling.

I play in solo and i never thing i wish i had this perk i wish i could use this it's always why is my team mate hiding all game, why are they so dumb or why are they being so slefish. Every time someone goes down they are gonna end end up being left for 90 seconds on the floor that's 90 seconds of 1 team mate doing nothing when they could be on a gen.

This patch is going to make thiis even worse so solo is going to get even more frustrating. And strong teams will become even stronger so killers will have to step up even further so when solo teams get them killers will be be taking it out on them.

Over past 2 years I have seen 100s of posts, videos across youtube, twitter, tiktok, twitch here of people complaining how bad team mates have gotten

Well the one thing that might start happening is noone ever goes to pickup a slugged survivor anymore since everyone can pick themselves up. But itl still be necessary as a survivor laying on the ground for an entire generators length of time still hurts the team from finnishing generators before the killer reaches 6 hooks and starts going turbo kill mode.

This is just not true and anecdotal with all due respect.

I've played DBD since 2016 and these gameplay changes haven't made survivors suddenly less caring about team-work. If anything, the opposite has happened. Early DBD the survivor side had so many resources and strong perks and strong maps, that team-work barely mattered because 1 survivor was so much stronger back then than they are now.

Pre basekit BT, you hoped your team-mate had BT and if they didn't you'd not infrequently get unhooked right next to the killer and immediately go down, which is also why you'd equip DS so often. Pre-Improvements UI my team-mate were often doing nothing just as much as they do now, the only difference is I can now see they're doing nothing.

I'm not going to leave my team-mate slugged just because they can pick themselves up in 90 seconds. You've said it yourself, 90 seconds is a long time for a survivor to be spending on the floor doing nothing, I will almost always want to pick them up and if anything them being able to crawl and move towards me whilst recovering makes that even more beneficial to do.

ItIt's not 90 seconds each time, it's 90 seconds total. When they have reached that 90 seconds across all downs they can pick up whenever the bar is full (32 seconds base i think) you are actually doing them a favor by letting them stay slugger if the killer doesn't know where they are.

I'm aware, and that number may need to be tweaked/mechanic may need to be tweaked and if so, then so be it, but that's still a risk because no situation works 1 to 1 like that.

If the killer has someone on hook, someone needs to be healed, someone needs to be doing gens, someone is being chased, someone needs to be unhooked, or maybe there's a totem that needs to be cleansed, having 1 team-mate on the floor that can't help with any of that for 90 seconds is a risk.

My points aren't anecdotal these from watching 100s of other peoples streams and countless posts on reddit, twitter here of how bad team mates have of gotten .

If survivors hadn't gotten worse than this patch wouldn't be happening at all.

I don't think anything about these changes will prevent Survivors from playing altruistically. It's a massive element of the game.
