why nerf eruption?
just for what reason? it has nothing to do with tunnelling and is not really impacted by the 20% of current progress bonus u get for not tunnelling. eruption is 5% now, the same as a normal kick but doesn't apply your "on kick" perks but still counts as 1 of ur 8 kicks on a gen so it's actually worse to use eruption than to not use it since u are using up your 8 kicks but aren't benefitting from that no tunnel bonus or any other on kick perks you might have.

They gave Killers basekit regression for spreading hooks. Of course BHVR was going to nerf regression perks. No one should be surprised by this outcome.

Indeed but 5% makes the perk pretty much pointless now. There are so many better alternatives. Probably should have reworked it, honestly.

Giving killers basekit regression for spreading hooks is not a buff, it's a down grade. Like everything else in this god forsaken chapter

I mean it does make the perk a bit useless but BBQ now makes basekit kick 10% regression which is a nice change imo. You get Eruption's effect instantly now instead. Eruption could have been reworked or untouched but I understand if they want to be extra cautious with regression now that you can Pop for free four times per game.
There is soooo many things to try, it's very exciting. Perks are all so different and basekit stuff adds a lot of fresh air to the game. The change of meta might be the biggest since 6.1.0 (I think?) with the 40 perks overhauled.-2 -
I didn't say it as a buff. I just said that since BHVR did it, of course they were going to nerf regression perks.

They buffed basekit regression by a 4 time basekit Pop Goes the Weasel. Can we account for that a little bit instead of doom posting?
Tunneling needs to go. I'm fine buffing regression a bit more but there are too many changes to be calling stuff wild except maybe that Eruption nerf that does make the perk useless a bit ON PAPER.-5 -
yes and i describe how this makes eruption worse than just not running it. if i use eruption on a gen i get 5% damage, the same as a regular kick but it doesn't benefit from on kick effects like the new basekit bonus for unique hooks but im still using up my 8 kicks per gen. if u ever use eruption often u know how quickly u can use up your 8 kicks since it effectively becomes 4 since each kick is going to end up doing 2 instances of damage to that gen but its worth since its 10% per eruption. now that it's 5 thats actually worse than a regular 5% kick due to it not applying on kick effects so you're actively making each kick worse by running eruption
