If you had to explain a new DBD player what "map pressure" means...

How would you explain him/her what map pressure is and how to apply it?

    I would ask them

"While you're chasing this survivor, what are the other three survivors doing?"

And then I would tell them to not be afraid to switch targets, if they run past a gen during a chase and see someone on it, go give that survivor a slap too. Don't just sit around the hook, go out and chase and hit all survivors as much as possible. You need to be breathing down their neck every second so that they don't have time to do gens.

Forcing survivors to do something other than gens. The more survivors doing gens, the less map pressure you have.

Applying pressure is making survivors not be able to do gens or forcing every single survivor off gens, multi-hooks is great at this, hillbilly and nurse are aswell

Seriously, I'd just show them by playing a game of Nurse and Hillbilly. And then a game of Legion and Leatherface. I will ask them what they saw and explain why it was so different.

Get them off the gens. Don't chase one person the whole time. Don't be afraid to drop a wounded survivor chase to scatter other survivors and wound them. Kick gens when the opportunity presents itself.

Never, never keep chasing the guy who is looping you from one pallet to another. Chase him long enough to peel off and surprise survivors on a gen. They know you are chasing and keep working while in your TR, then you hit them out of nowhere.

Map preassure means having multiple people hurt all the time, thus forcing survivors into altruistic actions instead of gen repair.

Short answer: Doing things to keep survivors off of generators.

Stop tunneling and play sporadically. Don't get caught up chasing one survivor, try and keep them off the gens more than getting downs and hooks.

You have no map pressure, you are killer and they established they don't want to give killer's power in this game.

Someone needs practice. I have to make effort to not 4k in many matches. Sometimes, I just feel bad and let them go. I'm a Trapper main, so not like I'm OP. My favorite combo is padded traps (yummy bp!) and anything that darkens the traps. Again, not OP, but not hard to 3-4k.

Check gens, break chase to go after others, Don't camp HUNT smack everyone that you find and always be unpredictable
