Sprintrap/Glitchtrap Equalization
So there has definitely been an issue with some of the skins in dead by daylight offering "pay to win" features not present with the original design. The latest example is Springtrap. Normally his footsteps are rather loud and easy to pick up, but with the Glitchtrap skin, those footsteps are much quieter. This makes Glitchtrap unintentionally better than base Sprintrap because Glitchtrap sneaks up on survivors more easily and gives far less time for survivors to react.
Obviously skins should not be giving additional benefits as big as suppressing footsteps audio. What I want to talk about though is the solution. 99% of the time, the obvious answer is to simply make it so that the skin gives no benefit by increasing its footstep audio. However, the question I wanted to propose was the possibility of doing the opposite which is decreasing Sprintraps footstep audio instead of Glitchtraps. If thats too much, then maybe a middle ground of only slightly decreasing the audio, and ensuring both match. I think Sprintrap as a stealth adjacent killer should benefit from quieter audio, though I do understandnot making those sort of changes because he is a ranged killer as well.

It's something I've thought about before as well, I guess my issue with it is that I feel like a stealth killer who also has a ranged attack and a teleport should probably have a bit weaker stealth than average, and the louder footsteps sort of fulfill that role. Regular Springtrap's stealth is still pretty useful, you still have to get fairly close to a survivor before you really notice the footsteps, especially if there are generator sounds nearby, but it gives enough of a warning that it makes a ranged attack and teleport feel fair given the context. Whereas with Glitchtrap you get snuck up on a lot more easily and suddenly the combo of good stealth with a ranged attack doesn't feel so good to play against.
So for that reason I think the current volume of regular Springtrap should be the standard and the Glitchtrap skin should be made louder.

Springtrap's mechanical footsteps are a huge part of the fnaf fantasy, i feel like they are fine as is. They should adjust glitchtrap's audio.
