Dead By Daylight Feedback
I’ve been playing Dead by Daylight for several years now, and up until recently, I was deeply invested in the game. However, I must admit that my enthusiasm has significantly waned over the past few months. The primary factor behind this decline in interest is the excessive and, at times, seemingly unnecessary nerfs that keep being introduced.
A prime example of this is the Fog Potion. This item has never been particularly useful, but it has recently been nerfed to the point where it’s now virtually useless. This is just a small piece of the puzzle. What frustrates me the most is how this trend extends to so many other aspects of the game—killer and survivor perks that are constantly being buffed and nerfed, often without a clear or consistent plan. The constant changes are disrupting the overall experience for players.
What bothers me even more is that when a new killer or survivor is released, it feels like the development team isn’t fully considering the long-term impact of the new content. Instead of gradually balancing things and observing how the new additions affect gameplay, they nerf new abilities within mere days of release, which creates a very underwhelming experience. I understand that balancing is crucial to the game, but is this really the best way to achieve balance?
Lately, it feels as though the development team lacks the necessary foresight and understanding to make intelligent changes. Rather than improving the player experience, these rapid and excessive adjustments seem to be eroding it, leading to a growing sense of frustration and a loss of trust in the game's future.
I’d love to see a greater commitment to long-term balance, where changes are made thoughtfully and gradually, rather than in reaction to every perceived imbalance. Dead by Daylight has immense potential, but these impulsive balancing decisions are diminishing the overall enjoyment and pushing many of us away from the game.
Does anyone else feel like the game is losing its magic due to these constant adjustments? What if we shifted back to a more gradual and consistent approach to balancing? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Original killers deserve some rework love. Instead of pushing out more licensed killers, I’d rather see resources go toward quality updates for classics and continue on creating new original killers.
