Anyone else getting toxic Solo Queue teammates recently?

I'm used to the normal mix of good and bad matches, but recently my solo queue teammates have been toxic. If I try to rat for hatch I get sold out every game without exception, and I hit second on first hook quite a lot. In the past my teammates would at least acknowledge that I'm on the same team as them, is this some kind of retaliation for the anti-tunnel changes not coming through?

In the games where I ratted, the vast majority most of them were when there was two of us left. I never throw games to rat.

doesnt matter how many are left, if there are gens to be done, do them, if your team mate needs help, help them. you can play for yourself if you want, i do all the time but you cant blame them for ratting you out hoping the killer will have mercy on them

if your hiding for the hatch, your team mate could be injured looking to be healed.

its actually considered a reportable offense to hide for a prolonged period while avoiding gens.

What on Earth are you talking about now? The games over then, the killer is just gonna patrol gens looking for one of the two. When I play killer that's exactly what I do because I know the fun is over and I'm ready for another match. You aren't gonna get reported for looking for a way out in a losing game.

you just admitted defeat by saying the game is over, killer won. so just do gens and if you die you die. But you have just admitted defeat yet still willing to rat for hatch?

you can be reported for avoiding gens for a long time as it doesnt progress the match. this has been confirmed many times. survivors have remained hidden for up to an hour hoping the other dies first, this means the match cant progress because gens are not being done and killer cant find survivors.

the hud tells you if they are injured lol you have to see it both ways, a survivor that loses that match is willing to hide for hatch….another survivor that loses the match could accidently lead the killer to you while in chase….

give hatch with 2 players left? for survivors that lost but still escape? or how about we change hatch to sacrifice pit and the survivors can jump in when they feel they lost and they get sacrificed. stop with the "let me win after i just lost" thing lol

when 2 survivors are left, clearly both have lost and acknowledge that so they wont do gens…. at that point its every man for themselves. 1 will throw the other under the bus so they can get hatch….the one being thrown under the bus may hope to escape via playing a lovely bardic tune for the killer so they spare them and go for the other instead, many have actually said killers seem to let these survivors escape. it works both ways, both want the other to die first. cant complain about 1 but then do the other yourself

Already lost? I still have to find the Hatch and get to it!!!! but ooohhh I may get there before you.. So if we both already lost what's the point of prolonging the game. Just give me the option to abandon when there are only two players left then. You really want to win that way? Let's just take all of the Stealth out of the game altogether. Have one map with a big field and no trees, buildings or anything else. Just start the countdown with two players left.

your objective is do gens and the gate….not the hatch. WHEN the hatch is available THEN it becomes your objective. thats why survivors shouldnt rat the whole game and then use hatch as means to justify it by saying "my objective is escape via hatch".

to answer your question, both have lost, there is no point prolonging the game, no point doing gens. accept the lose and move on. if you refuse to accept this lose and still want the hatch and prepared to throw the other player under the bus to get it by not helping them then just be prepared for them to try doing the same to you.

Yeah ratting is a hard no for me. I'm going to try to complete the objective until the match is over. If my remaining teammate is slinking around the map edge or going in and out of lockers then they're the toxic one because they're now useless. If you think the match is lost then hop on a gen until you can engage with the killer and practice your looping until you die.

Nah, running up and selling your teammate out is totally different from getting the killer to spare you through bardic imo. I'm referring to active survivor betrayal, just because your mate needs to die to escape doesn't mean you should get them killed.

In my experience at least, I've often seen killers strike down a survivor for selling the other one out. The bro code has been alive and well in the well in the realm of the Entity

dunno what to tell you, earlier i was on hook…. other guy was in the corner hiding. killer camped me so i unhooked and went straight to the other survivor…..did i rat him out? or did i just want to be healed and the killer happened to follow me? jury is out on that one lol i escaped, they didnt.

There's a reason why Solo Queue is infamous, but rat for the hatch is also included in the list of those reasons. It's not a good strategy and it feels bad (to me personally).

If you’re admitting that you rat for hatch, I don’t think you’re going to get any sympathy. Your teammates should absolutely sell you out if you’re doing this.

If there's a ton of gens left and two survivors, it's just one of those things that whoever sits on the gen is gonna die. Even if you pop a gen, the killer is going to know where you are and your butt is grass. But at that point I just do it anyway and lead the killer away so the other person can get hatch. It's less drama that way. Back when I first started playing, I would know the situation was unwinnable in that scenario and I would creep around and see who got caught first, me or the other teammate.

But you end up finding out "there are rules" to playing survivor. And I would just rather get hooked and onto the next match than have to deal with an angry teammate.

There's no incentive for people to do objectives and escape anymore. Too many years of catering to people crying has left the game filled with entitled unskilled people that have to be toxic in order to be happy. As far as 2 players left that people are talking bout, its not hard. One man on each side of the map teeter tottering the gens. This causes the killer to have to run back and forth because if he wastes too much time trying to chase.. the gen's are getting done. The only problem is getting that teammate that knows how to do this. There is no challenge in quitting so I don't understand anyone who gives up and moves on to the next.
