GAME CRASH ( AMD USER)

So appearently this goofy ass company makes you pay to play the game, then seduce you to pay even more for cosmetics, and as a cherry on top banning you over and over until now for 48 hours because their ass game is constantly crashing mid game, i reinstalled windows, i verified the god damn game files, i rolled back drivers up to the damn ice age i tried all of them, i have no bullshit reshade whatsoever, i even disabled expo to prevent memory spikes by SLOWING DOWN my ram.

atp i just want to sue this ass company to the ground cuz this is unfair, either that or i want my money back and not give a damn abt what will happen to my account..

7800 xt/ 7500 f/ 32 gigs of ram, and i tried every amd software

Hey I posted a fix a minute ago but another guy and myself were having this problem, this worked for me:

    1. Right-click Dead by Daylight from your Steam menu → Properties…→ Installed Files → Dead by Daylight → DeadByDaylight → Binaries → Win64

    2. Delete ALL the files inside of folder Win64

    3. Right-click Dead by Daylight from your Steam menu (again) → Properties… → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files

    4. Wait for the game to finish reinstalling those files

    5. On your computer type 'dxdiag' into the Start menu

    6. Find which DirectX version you have under 'DirectX Version: DirectX <11> or <12>' ← it's at the bottom of the list

    7. Right-click Dead by Daylight from your Steam menu (again again) → Properties → in launch options add either '-dx11' or '-dx12' based on what you've seen in your dxdiag

    8. Boot the game, load into a custom match w/ 4 bots (so you avoid a DC penalty, I was on a 6 hour penalty - that's how much I crashed lol) and hopefully you're no longer crashing

Edit: Just read the actual content of your post. I did all the same too! Don't reinstall the game cause for whatever reason the files on initial reinstall seem to crash? Removing the contents of Win64 then reinstalling, for whatever reason, did the trick. I also used a restore point to go back to my original (latest) driver w/ DDU fresh reinstall. Am using an AMD Radeon RX 7700 myself so it, surprisingly, wasn't a driver issue.
