A permanent solution to tunneling

In the game we have normal hooks and scourge hooks.

Hooking a survivor on a normal hook should always teleport survivors to a far away hook on the map and the killer is given no indication of where they went.

Hooking a survivor on a scourge hook or a basement hook doesn't teleport the survivor away.

Every map will now have scourge hooks regardless of the killer brings scourge perks or not.

Initially the map will have very few scourge hooks (if any) but as generators complete more hooks become scourge hooks.

By the end game all hooks will count as scourge hooks.

This won't mean people don't get tunneled but it will reduce the overall effectiveness of tunneling and give survivors an option to deal with it by sabotaging scourge hooks.

To me this is the perfect balance for the game. It gives survivors a "feeling" that they have control over whether or they are tunneled because teammates can sabotage. It means that survivors are frequently going to be teleported away although not always. Sometimes it's important that killers can tunnel early; just not always.

But it becomes less meaningful and powerful as the game progresses which is important for the killer to feel like they're gaining more power the longer the game goes on while also protecting survivors early in the game.

I like your idea! Wouldn't really matter tho when the S-Tiers can travel across the map in no time flat.

Systems like this won't work until they are bought down to weskers level

The teleporting to a far away hook, alredy happens in 2v8, where they just follow the sound of your scream and fly over to your cage, and pyramid head was notorious for tunneling you right out of a cage, because he easily knew where your cage ended up. I dont think it would do much. It would have to teleport you to a completely random hook, with no notification or sound to the killer.

I… actually really don't mind this. It doesn't really affect Blight and Billy, and I do think Basement should also be a guaranteed exception because the lockdown killers should be rewarded for playing into their win con being basement, but it could really help with tunnelling, and then you could tune up any killers it hugely ends up impacting bc it turns out they needed the proxy into the tunnel more than everyone thought

also, if say only half the hooks were scourge hooks in the end-game that might actually be better for the killer because it can give them options to like throw a survivor to the opposite end of the map away from the exit gates. so there's give and take to it as the game goes on where it can actually benefit killers in a way that most people aren't going to complain about

Every opportunity to tunnel is one thing too much.

i like this, and the teleport can work just like the current hooks in the void during the event.
