Footstep radius of killers

At which distance are the footsteps of the killers audible for survivors? I read somewhere 8 meters, but at the same time there are killers with very loud footsteps (Dredge) and some are quiet (Myers). Is there somewhere a list how loud the killers are and at which distance you can hear them?
