Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

2v8 Killer and the disparity between Innate Skills

Dracula and Pyramid Head were added to this iteration of 2v8 and received drastically different levels of changes.

Pyramid Head received very few changes that actually matter. Range is nice but almost everything else doesn't really make him all that much stronger. Recharge time literally doesn't matter. Killer instinct is okay for tracking, but it isn't anything crazy as most people will only run into trail during chase. Duration is kinda nice but considering how little torment does in this mode and again people will only become tormented in chase, it doesn't really matter. Final Judgment change is kinda nice but very situational. You have to find them at some point, get them condemned, and then down and atonement/corruption cage them. Then you have to find them when they're dead on hook and be the one to down them. All for saving maybe 2-3 seconds and avoiding flashlights (only from chests) or pallet saves (use your eyes). In addition to all that, the map being significantly larger hurts bad when you have no mobility or real range.

Dracula, on the other hand, who is already a stronger killer, received significantly better buffs. A third leap on pounce is ridiculous. Wolf form is already very difficult to deal with. A third pounce compounds that to a significant degree. Wolf form also provides your teammate with killer instinct every time someone does a rushed action. (maybe within a certain range) Increased range on bat form teleport increases his already strong map mobility. Hellfire and Shapeshift cooldown changes are nice QOL nothing crazy there.

Pyramid Head was treated similarly to Nemesis and Deathslinger, receiving small changes that don't really affect his strength all that much in 2v8. I would say that he isn't very strong in 2v8. I would go so far as to say he might be one of it not the weakest killer in 2v8. Slinger has strong teamplay and synergy with most classes even if he is slow. Nemesis has inconsistent map pressure and the ability to deal with pallets. Hell, at the very least Trapper has team play, and provides instadown potential for his team. Pyramid head lacks map mobility, the ability to pressure multiple survivors easily, or deal with an endless supply of pallets. He provides very little in the way of team play and receives no compensation that matters for his main gimmick already being cooked into the gamemode. At the other end of the spectrum, Dracula was treated similarly to Wesker and Oni. All these killers were already strong yet received significant buffs to already strong aspects of their kits. 3rd pounce, 3rd bound, a plethora of buffs for Oni, etc. I'm not saying that Dracula or the others should be nerfed, but rather that there is significant disparity between the amount and strength of the changes killers receive in 2v8. Of course, every killers needs tweaks to make them fit into a larger game mode, but weaker killers should really receive more significant changes to make them viable in the mode compared to those who are already strong.

True pyramidhead has little changes to his kit, he isnt that strong as people thing (only on paper if the palyer hits his all shots that can go through walls but same as unknown or other range killers this is only theory on paper and not reality) he isnt easy to get hits because you need to aim where the survivor will be he is like shooting chess you need to predict a lot especialy against good loopers, he has no mobility so he sounds great but he will end up at same place or maybe even lover than 2v8 huntress in tier list because of his harder power to hit and no mobility and his cages arent bad but you dont face swf flashlight squads that go down under pallets in 2v8 and flashlights are rare and no background player or champion of light perks likem that arent there so its still faster than normal caging but nothing that strong compare to 1v4 mode.

Dracula will be way better dog with 3 dashes is just pallet gone or hit if player doesnt get spun and misses hard, hellfire is actualy easier to get hits than pyramids punishment it travels littlebit faster I think and flicking it is actualy easier because there isnt any camera turn rate restriction as phead has and its not his only power, mobility bat is same speed as wraith with no speed buff from perk or addon at 150% speed which is like 6 meters per second and teleport being longer with that amount of pallets and windows dear god that will be his second most usefull thing right after wolf form having 3 dashers which is better that wesker because wolf pounces have same lenght so loops are easier to play with it even the fact you have to use them all compare to wesker. Dracula will be top tier and phead probaly same or little lower than huntress due to his power being easy to doge plus huntress has more lethality because she can hit more survivors in short time and has more walking speed so its better zoner and easier to use than pyramid but still he will be good killer option and not something so bad as nemesis, slinger, ghostface or even trapper that arent worth to spend wait time as compare to other more fun and powerfull killers like blight, billy, draculy now with pyramidhead, huntress and more (trapper can ge good but the rng factor i still there and his teammate has to do more preasure because trapper looses time for set up).
