Why not Reintroduce these as event offerings?

    Probably because of bugs/inconsistencies. There's too many maps now with varied lighting, it might be taxing on the devs to account for all of them for a gimmick offering. Look at fog vials for example, decent on some maps and horrifically pointless on others.
