Guess the perk.
I was playing against a survivor who had this perk. She got downed on the other side of the pallet while dropping it ( i was playing pyramid head). Then i broke the pallet. I walked up to her, was about to pick her up and then she stood up with the broken status effect. She also had soul guard so she just ran away as if she didn't get absolutely destroyed moments ago. Guess which perk this is.
I am very curious to see how this horrific game design exists.
If you read closely, you will see that I didn't even slug. i literally broke the pallet between me and her so that i could grab her. I am not even sure how she managed to proc it that fast. Perhaps unbreakable? I didn't check the perks. Either way it shouldnt be possible to pick yourself up alone in front of the killer in a few seconds after being downed.

Guaranteed down in 30s? Had to heal first to activate it? What's the problem? Plus this perk is getting nerfed to work only on altruistic heals.

Remember time when I said this perk is absurdic and people tried to justify it just because you need other perks to activate it. People will find excuse for everything if it’s their toy, but will complain on some slowdown because how dare you not letting them do objective.

Conviction could use a bit of a nerf, mainly making it so it triggers around the 40-50% mark of recovery, not 25%.

I didnt have 30 seconds. It’s stupid that you can extend a chase for 30 seconds after getting downed for no reason. Is getting hooked for being outplayed at a. Loop supposed to be optional? No, but even the heal condition is so easy. especially if you are in a swf. Its just garbage game design.

Ok. Let's say that someone falls under pallet with power struggle flip flop that is combo existing for 5 years in the same form and is by far way better than conviction, because you get distance, stun and don't automatically go down. They tweaked so it no longer activates on self heal which is the only change it needed. It's very good anti-slugging perk. I count 25 % of recovery progress is about 12s? Which should be enough time to break the pallet and pick up. Might it be 40 % instead? Maybe, but it's not the problematic perk atm.

Here's the thing though, i did not slug. I downed her, broke the pallet between us, and walked up to her. I may have looked around for a possible flashlight save for a few seconds. After the match, i checked the match history from stats tracker and found that she had unbreakable. I was not slugging. This is not just an "anti-slug" perk right now. It definitely is a problematic perk but people don't use it.

Unless they got healed, they were cheating.
Presuming you wasted minimal time after the down, they would need to self-pickup in at best 2.5s. The required charges per second to make 4 charges happen in 2.5 seconds is 1.6c/s, but because of the self-pickup debuff you'd need to amass 220% bonus pickup speed.
Unbreakable gives 35%, Exponential gives 100%. 135% falls beyond short of our required 220%. So they'd either have to have been healed - WGLF and no self-pickup debuff easily clears 1.6c/s needed to get to the recovery window for Conviction - or they were cheating, hiding it with Conviction Soul Guard.
Conviction should get nerfed anyways, it's still egregiously easy to utilize even when the killer is only loosely leaving a survivor on the ground to ward off a potential flashlight save, but just for your peace of mind on the outcome of that match - you got a cheater, I'm almost certain.

To be fair, i may have checked the vicinity for a potential flashlighter, but i cannot remember for sure. It may have been cheats but im not sure, and it seemed like a console player. I was extremely surprised that she got herself back up seconds after being downed. Felt way faster than normal even with conviction. I wish i had a replay recorded. I didnt see any scratch marks nearby so unless someone stealthed really hard i dont think it was a heal. Actually for the outcome of the match, even though this event robbed me of the pain resonance and they finished the 2 gens right after, i ended up getting two kills because they botched a hook save really bad at EGC
What i remember is that i downed her, maybe looked around for like 2-3 seconds, broke pallet, then went to pick her up. Feels really sketchy.

If u assume this combo, which is not really hard, u just let survivor be slugged. He won’t relocate himself so it’s easier for teammate pick them up, he won’s steal your chase by extending it. Despite power struggle being annoying, it’s much more situational perk.
By my own example — just because me alone was running conviction first time in my life (without soul guard, plot twist and anything else), I was a pain in Sadako *** and player stopped to slug to build condemn. She was forced start to pick up everyone, and played much more stressful match just because I alone had antislug perk. She had 3 moments to quickly finish match and I spoiled them, so she went to agro tunnel (and unfortunately it let her win on last 99% gen. But match was still epic tho, I played DBD for them)And it was green conviction in solo q without anything.

I feel the golden balance will be 40%.
But honestly, I just think they need forbid stacking effects on everything except healing and provide serious limitations. They tried to do it with haste, but didn’t have enough courage
